Torrid time when last on racecourse bow at Newmarket but appeared to have learned plenty when scoring last time out at Kempton. This is tougher, but this Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes entry is clearly well regarded and should be in the mix.
Built on fine debut second over C&D in May to score nicely at Goodwood four weeks ago. Gimcrack entry who appears to be held in some regard by top stable so one for the short list.
Not disgraced when fourth of five on racecourse bow over C&D recently and should win a race or two. Yard out of sorts of late though and this does look a hot event, so others make more appeal.
£13,000 Clodovil colt makes racecourse debut today. No fancy entries and appears not be the pick of his yard's four runners in this event.
Helmet colt cost £30,000 as a yearling and very nearly scored on debut when narrowly beaten at Carlisle. Squeezed up in closing stages when close third here last time out and this Gimcrack entry has ability so cannot be ruled out of the equation.
Dan won over middle distances and he began over 7f at Lingfield last month when a creditable third. Should do better, but debatable whether this drop in distance and tougher opposition will suit.
85,000 euros yearling by good Australian sire Epaulette but has no fancy entries ahead of this racecourse debut. Interesting to see if there is any confidence behind his chance in the betting markets.
£75,000 yearling is half-brother to four-time winner Kadrizzi, a fair performer. Top yard has him entered in the Gimcrack here next month so would need to run very well if he is to make the line-up for that Group 2 feature contest.
€30,000 High Chaparral colt who caught the eye when finishing fourth on his racecourse debut on the Tapeta at Newcastle last month. Yard doesn't send too many juveniles to this track so may well be held in some regard. Interesting to see how he fares on turf.
Pastoral Pursuits filly related to a number of winners. Fared nicely on debut at Pontefract when keeping on steadily to be fourth and looks one of the yard's likelier chances in this decent event.
Improved on debut effort when runner-up over 5f at Newcastle latest, staying on well and suggesting the step back to this trip is required. This is tougher though and she will need to improve again to figure.
Forecasts
Royal Household (5/2), Encrypted (11/4), Magic Mark (6/1), Sands Of Mali (7/1), Lucky Lucky Man (9/1), Ulshaw Bridge (12/1), Push N'Pull (14/1), Midnight Wilde (20/1), Collateral Beauty (20/1), Lyrical Pursuit (33/1), Foxrush Take Time (50/1)
There was plenty to like about the way ROYAL HOUSEHOLD went about his business when scoring at Goodwood last time out and he may well prove a useful performer. Despite his winner's penalty he is taken to get the better of Magic Mark, who didn't get the best of runs when third here last time out. Kempton scorer Encrypted is a danger if proving as capable on turf as on the A/W, while Ulshaw Bridge is interesting having hinted on debut there could be more to come. Any market confidence behind Richard Fahey's Push 'n Pull, Sands of Mali, or Collateral Beauty would be significant.
