Power colt cost £40,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to 5f winner Jaarih. Yard have been a bit quiet late but he holds a Group 1 entry so very much one to note in the market.
Showcasing colt made 29,000 gns as foal, €38,000 as a yearling and £50,000 as a 2yo through the sales. Wears tongue strap on debut, yard has been quiet.
Power gelding, may want further than this trip in time, not an obvious one on debut though jockey is riding very well at the moment (26% previous fortnight).
Mazameer colt fetched just £4,000 as a yearling before being sold on for €40,000 as a 2yo, is related to multiple winners over this trip and from respected yard should be noted in the betting.
Lilbourne Lad colt cost €7,000 as a yearling, trainer is 0/18 over the previous 14 days but he does have enough in breeding to suggest he'll handle 5f for starters.
Unlucky not to be off the mark after five starts, failed to justify favouritism at Hamilton last time over this trip but rates a major player again and no surprise should he break through.
Fast Company filly comes to the track for the first time and should have this within her compass, yard continues to net the winners at regular rate and not one to dismiss out of hand.
Filly out of Most Improved, makes debut here and trainer as 19% strike rate with 2yos over the previous 12 months so is worth a look.
Has made a favourable impression in two runs, narrowly denied last time over 6f at Fairyhouse. Has to be high on the shortlist.
Forecasts
Verhoyen (3/1), Sankari Royale (7/2), I Am Power (4/1), Zizum (5/1), Art Of Unity (8/1), Play Your Part (10/1), Raramauri (12/1), Daubney's Dream (20/1), Moorepark Lad (33/1)
Sankari Royale looks the obvious starting place, having twice gone well over 6f and just been collared on the line last time out. This drop in trip should suit and a win is surely lurking soon. Equally, VERHOYEN has been loitering with intent but couldn't deliver at Hamilton last time when backed to do so. He's given another chance now. There are some newcomers that could easily upset the pair again, with I Am Power and Play Your Part two worth noting.
- Verhoyen
- Sankari Royale
- I Am Power
