Won 13 starts in his career including over C&D last year but has got to the veteran stage of his career now and not been at his best on four starts this year. Opposable from top-weight.
Hit and miss profile but has run well on a couple of outings this season including here on the Rowley course in May. The concern would be that he looks better over further than this trip.
Not beaten a rival home on any of his last three starts and has a significant absence to overcome here. Entitled to need this run.
Trainer does well with his sprinters but he hasn't managed to get a win out of this colt in four starts for this yard. Needs to step up on his third-placed effort at Ayr last time if he's to have any sort of say here. First-time cheekpieces applied.
Won his first two starts of the season and not beaten far here last time and compromised his challenge by hanging a little. Up 4lb for that run and needs to pull out a little bit more but less exposed than several runners in here and can't be ruled out.
C&D winner last year and rounded off the campaign with a win over the minimum trip at Doncaster. Has failed to get on the scoresheet in five attempts this year but he's worked his way down to a feasible mark as a result.
Beaten short-priced favourite at Chelmsford last time out but missed the break and hung badly off the turn. No doubt he's better than that and should be therebouts if he gets a better break. The concern would be any more rain arriving.
Five-time winner but four of those efforts have come on the AW and sole turf win came on fast ground. Yet to show much form in softer conditions and well beaten on her latest two starts. Others arrive with more attractive profiles.
Winner on his final start for Jamie Osbourne at the end of last season but hasn't really got going for this yard yet. Shaped like a return to form was imminent last week at Sandown though and he's the type to build on that effort. Should go well off a lenient looking handicap mark.
Very consistent last year and kicked off this season in fine form with a win at Brighton. Gives the impression the handicapper has caught up with him for now though and he needs the first-time cheekpieces to eke out some improvement.
Very consistent last season and has returned in similar form this time around. Beaten short-priced favourite on two of his last three starts and creeping up the handicap without winning isn't ideal but booking of top jockey could see him get his head back in front.
Winner over 6f here last season but probably better over that trip and he's been badly out of form this campaign. Needs a strong pace to be seen at his best.
Very inconsistent sort and has just one win from 44 starts on turf. Out of form on the AW recently as well as turf and likely to struggle again here in a deeper contest.
Very useful on his day and won a valuable contest at the Curragh in his pomp. Not been in good enough form this season to warrant consideration for a contest of this nature. Seen to best effect coming off a very strong pace.

SHAMSHON is an interesting runner and he ran well at Sandown last week, only narrowly denied and he should get a good pace to aim at again here. Compas Scoobie is very consistent and gets the services of Ryan Moore for the first time today while A Momentofmadness has to be of interest provided no more rain arrives.
