Won maiden over C&D in September but well held in pair of handicaps this year, including 15¾L defeat here over the trip in May. Has dropped 6lb since that and could run a better race.

Filly ran well enough in pair of C&D maidens last autumn, well held on reappearance at Listowel (7f, good) last month but worth bearing in mind for this AW handicap debut sporting new cheekpieces.

Consistent on turf in five runs this year without registering a win, sole success having come over 6f here in December off a mark of 61. Still 8lb higher but form to suggest he'll be competitive back here.

Failed to get off the mark in four runs here previously, has been well beaten in three 1m handicaps on turf during May/June but could have more to offer back here.

Well held in all four starts this year, each over a mile on turf. Doesn't appear to be amongst the more talented of Ballydoyle's 3yos fillies. Yard are in stunning form but will certainly need to improve.

Five-race maiden in Britain for Brian Meehan, has been a struggle in three starts for this yard so far over sprinting trips. Step up to this trip for the first time now with improvement needed.

Showed a bit more last month on handicap debut over 6f at Fairyhouse (good) when beaten 4¼L into sixth of 16. First time encountering the AW surface now.

Good run over 6f here in the spring, beaten 3½L, similar level of form shown last month on turf over this trip at Gowran Park and wouldn't take much more to get involved.

Ran a very pleasing race here in December over 6f off a mark of 58 but well below that the following month off reduced mark stepped up to this trip. Would have sound claims off this rating on the former of those efforts.

Has shown a bit more sparkle in two turf runs this season at up to 1m½f but was beaten 30L on sole previous visit here for a 6f maiden in September. That his only AW experience to date so comes with risks.

Forecasts

Brave Display (5/2), Ahundrednotout (3/1), Nutcracker Suite (7/1), Boy Charlton (7/1), Olly's Folly (7/1), Melisandre (10/1), Desert Dancer (12/1), Ai Chan (14/1), Abundant Courage (28/1), Rounding (28/1)

Verdict

The consistent Brave Display certainly wouldn't be winning out of turn and the first-time cheekpieces will help but she was well below last year's form on her reappearance at Listowel last month and so is opposed, though she does appear to enjoy this surface. Ahundrednotout on the other hand has been running much better this term but has questions to answer on this track. Nutcracker Suite surely must improve whereas Olly's Folly wouldn't need much more than he showed over C&D in January. ROUNDING is back off a break and sporting first-time cheekpieces for the Bolger team. He ran a nice race over 6f here in December and, somewhat perplexingly, couldn't build on it a month later from a reduced rating (behind Olly's Folly). It might pay to forgive that run now and hope the lightly-raced Vocalised gelding is ready to roll first time out.

  2. Olly's Folly
  3. Brave Display
