Shrugged off some disappointing efforts to finish second of seven at Ayr last time. Runs off the same mark and could be a threat to all if first-time cheekpieces have the desired effect.
Runs for the first time for this yard after winning a seller at Leicester last month. Three previous runs had been disappointing, though, so not one in which to invest maximum trust.
Only one win to his name and has not been seen to best effect since being gelded. Falling handicap mark and the application of a visor for the first time could spark a revival, however.
Shock 33-1 winner of a Newcastle maiden as a juvenile and shaped as though returning to form when fifth of nine, not beaten that far, at Haydock last time. Down to his lowest mark so far and could be dangerous.
Registered his only success at Redcar in April and struggled off higher marks since then although cut in the ground may have accounted for a below-par display last time. May need to drop a pound or two.
Won back-to-back races in April and May and seemed to cope with a higher handicap mark when second of 15 at Redcar last time. There may be more to come and he looks a leading contender.
Majority of his runs have been over the minimum trip and she needs to find something over this extra furlong if she is to bounce back from a series of ordinary displays, including two for her current trainer.
Only win in nine starts came on the AW at Newcastle in February, but she showed enough over C&D three starts ago to suggest a second success is not beyond her off this sort of mark. Respected.
Yet to hit the frame in six starts and handicap mark has been falling accordingly. First-time cheekpieces and the assistance of a top jockey need to have a galvanising effect.
Has been placed behind Stubytuesday and Mr Strutter on last two starts and is better off at the weights with both. Must have a chance providing he takes to first-time cheekpieces.
Not much to shout about in five attempts to far. Handicap mark is dropping and although it is early days for him he cannot be supported with any confidence.
Forecasts
Chipping (3/1), Mr Strutter (5/1), Haworth (11/2), Atrafan (7/1), Party Tiger (8/1), Regal Decree (9/1), Stubytuesday (11/1), Kody Ridge (12/1), Little Kingdom (16/1), Mightaswellsmile (40/1), Pavers Pride (66/1)
A tricky handicap in which cases can be made for Party Tiger, Stubytuesday, Haworth and Mr Strutter, but the ones which catch the eye are Chipping and REGAL DECREE who both wear cheekpieces for the first time. The latter is just preferred given he has form with two of his main rivals and is favoured by the weights this time.
- Regal Decree
- Chipping
- Mr Strutter
