In good form this year winning 50% of his runs and turned in a career best when winning last time at Redcar over 7f beating a previous winner. Only raced at 7f so far but looks as though this trip should suit him and just 4lb higher her than his last win.

The visor had a positive effect last time out when finishing third last time out over C&D. Remains to be seen if the headgear has the same effect this time around.

Needs to be taken seriously after winning handicaps off marks of 60 and 66 over a mile on both occasions. Now up a further 4lb he still looks well enough treated turning in a determined effort and looks sure to turn in another solid run here.

Couple of decent runs as a maiden before failing to impress on her handicap debut off a mark of 72 at Brighton over a mile. The form of that race looks strong though (three next time out winners) and may still have a part to play in handicaps.

Both handicap efforts so far have shown promise and she shaped as though she was in good form last time at Haydock in a higher grade than this one. Steps up in trip here and likely to play a part in this.

Verdict

With two runners looking to complete hat-tricks here and another last race winner in the field this is without doubt the most competitive race on the card. Hajjam who has been in good form might struggle to give weight away all round here with some progressive types in the line-up headed by Hope Against Hope and BROTHER MCGONAGALL. The latter just gets the vote due to his gutsy Hamilton win but the former is much respected. Hamster Jam and Vaulted are both future handicap winners waiting to happen but may find the hat-trick seekers too much here.
  1. Brother McGonagall
  2. Hope Against Hope
  3. Vaulted
