Has the form in the bank but becoming expensive to follow (beaten favourite three times now), mistakes late in the day at Ballinrobe on his last two starts proving costly. Will likely try and make all again here, conditions fine and obvious chance again, but not one for maximum faith now.
Useful on the Flat and a winner here over 1m4f (quick ground) back in 2015. No win since then and has lost his way a bit, so can only be watched here but will be interesting once getting a handicap mark.
First start for yard, capable of high-class form for Aidan O'Brien on the Flat last year (placed at Group 3 level) and handles quick ground fine. Not seen out for over 10 months but a fascinating addition to the hurdling ranks and obvious chances here if taking to the discipline first time up.
Ballingarry gelding that has some winners in the family, but yard not known for first time out winners and is best watched here.
Good effort on paper when third at Clonmel in early June, but that form has already taken a few knocks and he couldn't repeat it when only sixth (and well beaten) at Gowran latest. Bit to prove after that, and others preferred.
Big prices all four starts and well beaten all occasions. Can't be considered a likely winner here.
Placed on five of his six starts to date, best run coming when second to Art Of Synergy in May. Hasn't run to that level in two subsequent starts but likely conditions fine, and more place money likely.
Yet to beat a horse home in two bumper starts and makes next to no appeal here.
Solid first effort when second to Mountain Rock in Kilbeggan bumper last July (winner far from disgraced in Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March) but a bit disappointing on comeback run in May this year. Too soon to write off, and chances if bouncing back to earlier form on hurdles debut here.
Tailed off all starts over hurdles and no realistic chance of success here.
Some form at a low level on the Flat (stays 2m) and a bit of promise to be taken from debut hurdles effort at Roscommon in June, but not enough to make him of interest her.
Some definite signs of ability in two of his four starts to date, stayed on nicely to finish midfield at Roscommon latest. Step up in trip will suit, but will still be of more interest once handicapped after tonight.
Faller in only start in a point-to-point, pedigree suggests that he may struggle to stay this trip, and can only be watched here.
Made a shade of late headway on his debut at Punchestown recently, hinting at better to come, but others hold much stronger claims here.
Half-brother to winning hurdler/chaser Apache Blue, and likely we won't see the best of him until getting more of a stamina test. Others preferred.
Only a modicum of promise to be taken from her three efforts in bumpers so far. Best watched on hurdles debut here.
Only moderate form shown to date, disqualified at Cartmel when she lost the weight cloth (finished third) and didn't build on that effort at Downpatrick latest. May do better once handicapped.
Definite Article mare making her debut tonight. Some winners in the pedigree but a bit disconcerting to see the headgear applied already. Best watched.
Moderate in three starts on the Flat and didn't show anywhere near enough on recent hurdles debut at Gowran Park to be considered here.
Yet to complete in two point-to-points and a maiden hurdle and can't be considered a likely winner on those runs.

A big field but only a handful to consider for top honours. Timi Roli is the one to beat on form but he's thrown away a couple of chances with mistakes at the last and isn't one to be having the mortgage on at short prices. If THE MAJOR GENERAL can jump fluently and is ready to go after a break then he can give him plenty to think about. Placed in a Gordon Stakes as a 3-y-o, he's a very interesting contender tonight. Storm Racer and Great Khan can prove best of the rest.
