Yet to convince he stays this trip but has been given few enough opportunities at is of far, and has collected some good pieces of form over shorter. Cheek pieces added to a tongue strap and he is an interesting contender.

Yet to place over further than 7f and looks high enough in the handicap at this stage, though she seems effective on soft ground so further rain would be a help to her chances.

Age: 5|  Weight: 9-6| J: W J Lee| T: W McCreery| OR:  89| D
10/1
Ground-versatile type who was likely just completely outclassed in Listed company latest, and has her sightly lowered appropriately. Remains much higher in the handicap than when winning easily at Clonmel in May, though that did show how effective she can be over this trip.

9/2
Dual-C&D winner who went close again in September having also won here over shorter. Clearly likes this course, though he seems a little too high in the handicap to ensure total confidence in his chances.

Steps up in trip for his stable debut with his form having tailed off for Richard Hannon recently. Tongue strap an interesting addition and no surprise to see some form of improvement from him.

Inconsistent type who is very dangerous when at his best but hasn't been showing enough recently to suggest that a revival is likely. Trip and ground both fine if he's feeling like it.

Went through a good run of form for another yard near the beginning of 2016, but hasn't been anywhere near as effective so far this year and needs to take advantage of a quickly lowering handicap mark.

Consistent type who won a maiden over this trip last time out having shown ability in three previous starts. Opening mark looks fair and this should be a suitable test for him. Could go close, especially of improving further.

Looks much more at home over intermediate distances than some of her rivals here, and should be on a winnable mark on the basis of her recent performances. Ground will also suit and she's difficult to find too many faults in.

Hasn't placed since his second ever run (in October 2014), and not one to put any faith in despite his very quickly lowering handicap mark.

Carries a 6lb penalty for a victory at Tipperary on Thursday when just getting the job done over a furlong shorter than this. This represents a different challenge, but there was plenty to like about that performance.

Much better on the Flat so far this year but has shot up the handicap as a result and looks on too high a mark now, so others hold more convincing claims.

Winning chaser with Gordon Elliott who has improved since his relatively recent switch to the Flat, but would need to do much better than when finishing second at Killarney in May (1m3f, yielding), in order to have a say here.

Won over further here on Friday but possibly needs that extra yardage in order to be at his best, especially if he is turned around so quickly.

Verdict

Having run some very promising races recently perhaps SISTER BLANDINA can take advantage of conditions that should suit to land the spoils here. Unlike many of these, this trip should be perfect for her and given how well she's been running recently she should be more than capable of winning a race of this nature off her current mark. She is the suggestion ahead of Zabalan, who is unexposed and could have plenty of improvement in him, and Elm Grove, who now finds herself pitched at a far more suitable level.
  1. Sister Blandina
  2. Zabalan
  3. Elm Grove
