Never got in it at Catterick on latest start but previous efforts at Doncaster suggest this straight track suits better, and has no problem with soft/good to soft ground. Drops in class and looks one of the more likely players.
Falling back quickly to a winning mark, but that's mainly down to some poor efforts as of late. Handles some cut and not out of it if refinding his form, but at this stage, others are preferred.
An easy winner on soft ground last season, so should handle conditions fine, and looked to be coming back to form when a close fourth at Chepstow last time. On a fair mark and can't be ruled out.
Probably wants the ground no worse than good to soft, but does handle that, and on a fair mark based on Newcastle win in January, but not in and great form and a variety of headgear has been tried, all to little avail. Others look stronger.
Winner here last season and ran well again over this C&D on reappearance this year, finishing close up in midfield but not so good last time out, and slow ground raises another question. Bit to prove now.
Likes it here (twice a winner at the track, and other good efforts) and handles cut in the ground, so has his plus points, but often blows his chance at the start and recent efforts not that encouraging. Hopes are pinned on a return to his favourite venue.
A winner at Carlisle in May, but couldn't follow up at Thirsk next time. Has questions to answer regarding trip and ground here, so others are readily preferred.
Mark is falling quickly now but has become a little disappointing lately, and ran poorly on first start for this yard at York on his latest start. Handles some cut and chances if bouncing back, but that looks unlikely at present.
Ran okay in the week at Salisbury over a trip short of his best, and this looks a more suitable test. Handles some cut in the ground, but can hang under pressure, which is a concern here, and others look more likely.
New yard have turned his fortunes around, winning two from his last four and showed he handles soft ground with a close fourth at Newmarket in between those wins. Proven on the track, and on same mark as last time, has to be taken seriously.
Hasn't won since last summer but on the plus side that win did come here, so handles the track, but best form comes over further and he was well beaten at Carlisle in the week. Makes little appeal here.
Wins in his turn, and does handle some cut, but recent comeback effort after eight months off suggested he needed a bit more time before striking again. Others have stronger profiles today.
Forecasts
Art Echo (9/2), Intense Style (5/1), Johnny Cavagin (11/2), King Of Naples (13/2), Ower Fly (13/2), Roll On Rory (8/1), Tukhoom (17/2), Hanseatic (14/1), Satchville Flyer (20/1), Merdon Castle (20/1), Dutch Art Dealer (20/1), Echo Of Lightning (33/1)
There's the possibility of a messy race here, with no confirmed pacemaker, so some caution is advised. OWER FLY is just given the vote as he looked to be on the way back to form at Chepstow last time and should find these conditions ideal. Art Echo has been given a new lease of life by John Mackie this season and rates the danger. Intense Style will find this easier and can get in the places.
