Not particularly impressive on sole start so far in a bumper, but raced keenly there and could appreciate this shorter trip.
Acclamation gelding who cost 32,000gns as a yearling and goes for a trainer who has a good record with his horses first time out. Worth considering on debut.
Narrowly beaten on both his starts so far, including when favourite last time out at Windsor. Still showed signs of his inexperience on that occasion, and there could be plenty more to come now up in trip.
Dream Ahead colt who cost 100,000gns as a yearling and goes for a top yard. Fitted with a tongue strap and worth a check in the market on debut.
Didn't enjoy a perfect trip when ninth on debut at Salisbury last time (7f, good to firm), but it would still be somewhat surprising if able to show the requisite improvement to get off the mark here.
Showed plenty of improvement on his second start to go down by less than a length at Pontefract over a furlong shorter. One to consider now up in trip, though this could be a more challenging assignment.
Clodovil gelding who cost 25,000 gns as a yearling and is the first foals of a dam of little account. The market should prove informative for his first racecourse appearance.
Steps down in trip having not disgraced himself on debut at Yarmouth in April (1m, good to firm). Would need to find some improvement but still wouldn't rate the most surprising winner.
No obvious excuses on debut when sent off an unfancied 25/1, but also no surprise to see some improvement given his connections.
Beaten less than a length into fourth on debut over C&D last time, and could come on for that to challenge once again here if able to overcome a slightly tricky draw.
Showed improvement to finish second on his second career start at Wetherby last time, with the step back in trip here unlikely to pose a problem to him. Interesting to see if he can put his relative experience to good use.
Oasis Dream filly who cost 4,000 gns as a 3yo. Interesting pedigree and will be intriguing to see how she goes on debut given her price tag.
Has only beaten two horses home across her first two races and was beaten 68L last time out. Very difficult to make a case for from the widest draw of all.

Forecasts
Tamih (15/8), Cobalty Isle (9/4), Important Mission (5/1), Thornton (8/1), Dream Ballad (12/1), Jessinamillion (16/1), Mishari (20/1), Soldier Blue (25/1), Sukoot (25/1), Fikhaar (50/1), Aclimatise (50/1), Good Man (50/1), Kynren (66/1), Maid In Brittain (125/1)
A few of these have potential but perhaps COBALTY ISLE can get off the mark at the third attempt. There was plenty to like about his first two runs, with him being denied only narrowly on each occasion despite running green both times. If able to put in a more professional performance here he should prove to be the one to beat ahead of Jessinamillion, another who went close last time, and the newcomer Aclimatise .
- Cobalty Isle
- Jessinamillion
- Aclimatise
