Has a nice enough pedigree and represents a yard whose youngsters are improving for a run. Set a solid marker on his debut when belying odds of 20/1 to only go down by a length. Stable have won this three times since 2008.

Bought for 40,000 gns as a yearling half-brother to Miss Lillie who was a 7f winner as a juvenile. Sire has made a good start at stud and yard have a good set of youngsters. One to note in pre-race trading.

Son of Frankel and closely related to 7f two-year-old Group 3 winner Recorder and Call To Mind. Dam was a 6f two-year-old Group 2 winner. Clearly bred to be useful and showed plenty to work on at Haydock on debut; looks sure to appreciate this step up in trip and sidestepped a Royal Ascot entry last week.

Bought for €110,000 and is a brother to the useful juvenile Shagah and half-brother to the dual purpose winner Swynmor. Stable have some nice juveniles this term so worth a check in the market.

Five runs so far and has shown nothing to suggest he is up to this standard. Looks one for nurseries in due course.

The Fettler

33/1
Picked up at the breeze-ups for £45,000 and related to three winners across Europe. Yard are without a winner since February.
Shaped well enough on debut to suggest there are races to be won with her. This looks a better race but yard's juveniles have been going well.

Forecasts

Learn By Heart (4/7), Coastal Drive (9/2), One Second (9/1), El Chapo (10/1), Porth Swtan (11/1), Insurgence (12/1), The Fettler (33/1), Rock On Bertie (100/1)

Verdict

Coastal Drive and One Second represent yards with a good bunch of juveniles and both should improve considerably for their initial runs. Porth Swtan and El Chapo are two of the more interesting newcomers but this ought to go to LEARN BY HEART. William Haggas has won with six of the ten juveniles he has saddled this year. The Queen's son of Frankel was an eyecatching third on his Haydock debut in a race where the winner made a decisive move 2f out which gave LEARN BY HEART too much ground to make up. He was not knocked about and can repay the kindness here.
  1. Learn By Heart
  2. Coastal Drive
  3. One Second
