Dual winner already this year scoring back-to-back wins at Haydock over a mile. His last two runs haven't lived up to the same level although he ran a sound enough race last time (also at Haydock) but despite a good draw he looks summed up his mark now.
One of two runners from this yard at the head of the weights and has won around here over slightly shorter as a juvenile. Has faced some stiff tasks this year and this trip is inclined to stretch him although he is well placed to take up his usual front running role.
Winner on his second run as a juvenile in a small field AW event over 5f but failed to match that form after that. Might have needed the run on his return last time out here over this trip on soft ground but that test appear to stretch him.
Has maintained his form and perhaps improved it this year with the culmination of that form coming at Carlisle last time out when he made the handicapper pay for leaving him on the same mark. That was his first win in a handicap but he showed a good attitude and should go well again here although the draw is a little wide for him to front run.
Scored twice this year on AW and turf and showed improvement to do so on the second occasion winning at Carlisle over a 7f and defying a mark in the low 70's. Ran another sound race last time out over 7f at Wetherby on soft ground when travelling well and there may be another handicap in him yet off this increased mark.
Reeled off a hat-trick to start the year all on the AW but his subsequent runs have shown him to be better on the AW and he doesn't look to have much scope off this mark on turf.
The widest draw of all here is going to make life difficult with his recent win coming in a claimer in what looked a weak race. Back in a handicap now this mark looks stiff enough and others are much preferred.
Still a maiden although he looks as though he may have broken his duck a few times now (runner-up four times). Only tried in one handicap before and finished well beaten and others have stronger claims here.
A winner on the AW in March at Lingfield he ran well last time out at Goodwood having not settled in front and sticking on surprisingly well. Faces a contested lead here also so will need to repeat his last run to have any chance.
Won at Wolverhampton on his first start of the year but hasn't been in the same form since and likely to find this trip too much of a test.

Forecasts
Arc Royal (7/2), Heir of Excitement (4/1), Right Action (5/1), Sidewinder (6/1), Gala Celebration (6/1), Sword Exceed (6/1), Poetic Force (9/1), Valentino Boy (11/1), Lonely The Brave (16/1), Jet Setter (25/1), Our Greta (25/1), Blue Rocks (66/1)
This looks to be a tough opener with plenty that like to go forward so it should be run at a good pace and that will suit RIGHT ACTION who has to overcome a wide draw but may well be suited by the way this race is run and what could be a collapsing pace. Gala Celebration looks to be one of the pace angles along with Valentino Boy but neither has solid credentials and the biggest danger in this to the selection looks to be Heir Of Excitement who may well be able to get a decent sit in behind the leaders. Tom Dascombe is well represented with Sidewinder and Arc Royal and his runners in handicaps are always to be respected around here.
- Right Action
- Heir of Excitement
- Gala Celebration
