Expensive purchase who has gone close on three occasions now, having finished a close-up third behind Buridan at Windsor (6f good to firm) earlier this month. Arguably sets the standard and longer trip should suit but vulnerable to a smart newcomer.
Cost €11,000 and is a half-sister to a couple of winners over further. Likely to appreciate a stiffer text in time but respected on the basis that the yard won this prize 12 months ago.
Has a useful US pedigree, having cost $165,000 originally but changed hands for less than that when resold as a yearling. Likely to appreciate further in time.
February foal who is half-sister to the useful winner up to 1m, Go For Goal. Yard's juveniles invariably merit respect and this €75,000 yearling purchase is no exception.
February foal out of an unraced dam who was a half-sister to the smart 7f/1m winner Fire Ship. Trainer not renowned for juvenile winners and others look more likely.
Cost a hefty €235,000 and is a sister to 2yo 6f winner Juliette Fair but never dangerous on her debut at Doncaster (extended 6f, soft). Plenty to find with Time Change on that form, cheekpieces quickly reached for.
January foal from a good family, as you would expect given her top connections. Yard's juveniles always command the utmost respect and has to be shortlisted, unless the market vibes suggests otherwise.
Friendless in the betting first time out over 6f on the AW at Lingfield but shaped with plenty of promise, keeping on to finish a 6L third behind easy winner Elizabeth Bennet. Sure to improve over this extra furlong.
April foal who cost 42,000 guineas as a yearling. Dam a winner over 1m as a juvenile. An interesting sort on paper but would appear the yard's second string on jockey bookings.
Produced an eycatching debut when beating everything bar the subsequent Listed winner, Main Desire, over 5f at Nottingham but flopped when fancied over 6f at Lingfield (good to firm) next time. Didn't get the run of the race that day and may be worth another chance.
March foal who cost 32,000 guineas as a yearling. Yard has sent out winning juvenile newcomers this season, though breeding suggests she'll appreciate a little further in time.
Changed hands for 27,000 guineas as a yearling, having cost similar as a foal. Closely-related to several winners over 7f and 1m but yard struggles for juvenile winners.
April foal who changed hands cheaply (4,000 guineas) in a private sale as a yearling. Trainer has had juvenile success here in the past but this year's crop have hitherto failed to win a race.
April foal who coast 65,000 guineas and is a half-sister to the useful 6f winner Pixeleen. Plenty of speed in her pedigree and no surprise if she knew her job first time out, though yard's juveniles haven't quite fired yet.
Changed hands for 90,000 guineas as a yearling, having cost significantly less than that as a foal. Only minor promise shown when fifth on her debut over 7f at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) but should build on that here.
Comes from a good family and shaped with plenty of encouragement on her debut at Doncaster (extended 6f, soft) when keeping on to chase home Natural, beaten just under 2L. Sure to come on for that and has to enter the equation here.
Forecasts
Time Change (11/4), Angel of The South (9/2), The Mums (6/1), Mahaarat (9/1), Juliet Capulet (10/1), She Believes (12/1), Moggy (12/1), Tig Tog (20/1), Dance Me (20/1), So Crafty (25/1), Richenza (25/1), Dark Blue (25/1), Sunday Best (50/1), Sukhovey (100/1), Filly Mignon (100/1), Arachina (100/1)
Mahaarat is arguably the most interesting of the newcomers but it would be no surprise if this fell to a something with experience to draw on. Angel of The South and She Believes both boast notable form-lines to recommend them but there was a lot to like about TIME CHANGE's debut effort at Doncaster recently and it would be no surprise if she found the required improvement to go one better here.
- Time Change
- Mahaarat
- Angel of The South
