Has a 6f claimer to his name at this venue from 2013 and goes well over the minimum trip too, scoring from a mark of 61 in an Ayr handicap (good to soft) 10 months ago. Won't mind what the ground is and goes into this reasonably well treated, so should be a leading player.
Has been unable to add to the last of his five wins, which came in an Ayr handicap (5f, good to soft) from 6lb higher almost a year ago. Recent efforts not hugely encouraging, but drops another 2lb and in grade now and has to be considered.
Yet to win on turf, but went close to doing so at Ayr (6f, good) earlier in the month from 1lb lower. Held last time at Yarmouth, but dropped into this grade for the first time now and you couldn't rule her out.
Another who has yet to win or even make the frame on turf and whose sole success came in a Wolverhampton novices' auction contest (5f, AW) last year. Best effort since was in a claimer, but made no impact in one previous seller and faces a tough task again today.
1lb out of the handicap here and without a turf win at all and even an All Weather win since 2013. Well beaten on first start for this trainer at Ayr (6f good) last time and not easy to enthuse about her chance.
Seems to go on any ground, though her two turf successes have been on good and good to firm and both at Thirsk (5f/6f). Hasn't added to those since 2013, is badly out of form and also out of the handicap, so readily opposed.
Well beaten in all starts and not even come close to making the frame yet. Blinkers need to be a miracle cure (visor was not when tried last time) and impossible to fancy.
Beaten a long way in all four completed starts in Irish maidens. Led for much of the way last time before succumbing by 12L and although he needs improvement, he would be one of the less surprising runners from near the foot of the card to be able to make an impact.
Very modest form in some ordinary handicaps and so connections now try this route. Out of the handicap going into this and hard to find inspiration in what she has produced.
Best effort so far was in a Lingfield claimer (6f, AW) last year and he has been thrashed in handicaps and a maiden since then. Another racing from out of the handicap and a very lowly mark and not easy to envisage a sudden improvement in output.

Very poor fayre here where it looks likely to pay to concentrate on the runners towards the head of the list and the suggestion is MR STRUTTER, who has been in good form in moderate company and should be more capable than most of producing his running from this mark. Bunce is respected from top weight, while Perfect Words, Misu Moneypenny and Ypres should all be capable of having a say.
