5/2
Overcame a couple of slow jumps to get the better of Turn Turk over this C&D a fortnight ago, and that form is solid in this grade. Clearly no issues with trip or ground and in a weak race, must go close again.

Came good at Worcester last time out after a series of consistent efforts and that form has been franked since. Another small step up in trip here but the bigger worry would be the quick ground, as best form so far has come with cut.

Age: 7|  Weight: 10-12| J: C Gethings(3)| T: N J Hawke
50/1
First run for this yard but has been getting beaten big distances in point-to-points this spring, and can't be recommended as a likely winner.
4

8/1
First run under this trainer's name (previously with his wife) and clearly has some ability based on point-to-point efforts, but likely to find the top pair too hot to handle on hurdles debut today. One for handicaps down the line.

Mister Mistert172
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: Dave Crosse| T: D L Williams
100/1
Did win a point-to-point at Tyrella (on quick ground) in January but looks to be flying a bit too high on debut for new yard today. Best watched.

Spanish Queen11
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-1| J: T Dowling(7)| T: Mark Gillard| OR:  79
200/1
Has looked very moderate to date, and although second last time in a poor race, was still beaten miles and was never in contention. Others have far stronger form.

Forecasts

Old Harry Rocks (1/2), Trevisani (5/2), Guerrilla Tactics (8/1), Flasheen (50/1), Mister Mister (100/1), Spanish Queen (200/1)

Verdict

This looks a match between TREVISANI and Old Harry Rocks, and although the latter arguably has the stronger form, the quicker ground may not play to his strengths and swings it in Trevisani's favour here. He did it nicely over C&D last time out and gives the impression he will improve again if tidying his jumping up a bit. Guerilla Tactics might be the one for the trifecta.
  1. Trevisani
  2. Old Harry Rocks
  3. Guerrilla Tactics
