Came good at Wetherby last time over slightly further. Carries a 6lb penalty for that, but drawn well enough and this stiff 5f should play to his strengths, so has decent claims of a follow-up success.
1lb higher here than when ½L third over C&D on fast ground last month. Has won here in selling company, but still looks capable of having a say in this modest handicap.
2-22 so far, both wins being over 5f and on good/good to firm ground. 1lb higher than the more recent of those successes and ran well on the AW last time. Could be in the shake-up, though has a poor draw to overcome.
Has gone very well here several times in defeat, including from 6lb higher last season, though has yet to win a race at the track. Could not rule that out today from this mark, if you can forgive him a poor effort at Thirsk last time. Interesting.
Carries a penalty for scoring at Wetherby last week (5½f, good to firm) by almost 4L, though was beaten when trying for a quick follow-up at Redcar on Saturday. Poor draw for this particular attempt to cash in and he may have had his moment last week.
Another trying his luck under a penalty after scoring at Redcar (5f, good to firm) on Saturday. He is effectively 4lb higher than his best winning mark, but with the yard flying at present and a good draw here, he looks a leading player.
Has not won since December 2015 and only 1-23 on turf. Went close enough to a second success on grass when beaten a neck at Brighton (5½f, good to firm) last week and from the same mark, a reproduction of that run would give him every chance.
Last win was in October 2015 from a mark of 76, but has steadily fallen in the ratings since without being able to stop the losing run which is now 19 starts. Well beaten twice recently over 6f and hard to enthuse about him at present.
Has been through the hands of various trainers in the past couple of years, with only John Riches managing to squeeze a win out of her (6f, good to firm) at Hamilton in August. 1lb higher than that here on her second start for this yard and would be interesting again if supported.
1-17, that sole win being on the All Weather at Newcastle (5f) in September from today's mark. Has been comfortably held lately and has a poor draw here, so a surprise bounce back to form is not easy to envisage.
Has won on fast ground, but his last three wins have been with some cut underfoot and those may be his optimum conditions. Not well drawn here either and, although he may outperform his stablemate today, that might be the only race that he wins this time.
Beaten 4¾L by Thatcherite in receipt of 19lb at Wetherby last time (5½f, good to firm) but being 1lb better off is unlikely to enable her to reverse the form and from out of the handicap this 18-race maiden is not difficult to take on again.
Yet to make the frame from eight attempts and well beaten in all maidens, sellers and handicaps. Not sure that she is quick enough to make the most of a good rail draw and even making the frame for the first time ever looks beyond her today.
Put up a better effort on her second handicap start at Leicester (5f, good to firm) last time. That is something to build on here, but races from 1lb out of the handicap and from a poor draw, so not easy to see her breaking her duck.

Foxy Boy (5/4), Dapper Man (5/1), Roaring Rory (9/1), Thatcherite (9/1), Minty Jones (10/1), See Vermont (12/1), Archie Stevens (16/1), Storm Trooper (16/1), Mercers Row (20/1), Nefetari (25/1), Chip Or Pellet (25/1), Tinsill (33/1), Tess Graham (33/1), Roman Times (40/1), Miss Island Ruler (50/1)
Roman Times would be interesting if there is any money for her here, while top weight Thatcherite should be suited by this and should make a bold bid to follow-up his Wetherby success. Roaring Rory and See Vermont are others with claims, though the suggestion for this nightcap is FOXY BOY. The Michael Dods string is in cracking form at present and with a decent draw and conditions again to suit, he looks capable of adding to Saturday's Redcar succcess.
- Foxy Boy
- Thatcherite
- See Vermont
