Still early days for this filly who has shown enough on a couple of occasions this year to suggest that a race such as this is within her capabilities. Step up in trip looks positive for her and she looks to have the ability to be in the shake-up.
Won a Kempton handicap and a Ripon seller for Richard Hannon, the latter over 1m2f and on fast ground last month. Back over the same C&D and on good to soft, she was well held on her first run for this yard last time, but from 1lb lower and on a quicker surface she may still be able to make an impact.
Made progress in three maidens without coming close to winning one and almost did the job at 14-1 on his Brighton handicap debut (1m2f, good to firm) last time, when beaten ½L from today's mark. A repeat effort would make him difficult to beat.
Yet to show much in the way of sparkle and well held in both handicap starts over 1m this month. From the same mark as last time at Wetherby he looks to have too much to do today and others are preferred.
Ran well at Southwell (7f, AW) two starts back and went off at 5-1 at Wetherby last time (1m, soft) but never able to challenge and beaten 11½L that day. Faster ground may help (unraced on it so far), but still has plenty to prove, including his ability on this surface.
Has gone backwards in three maiden runs, stepped up in trip each time, including to this distance at Newcastle last time out. Freshened up after a break, she may do better now going handicapping, but from what we have seen even this lowly mark will be sufficient to present her with a challenge.
Well beaten in all three starts to date and now goes handicapping from a workable mark and upped in trip. Andrew Mullen deserts him for Metronomic, which suggests that he may still need this experience.
22-1 and beaten almost 7L on her handicap debut (7f, good to firm) at Musselburgh earlier in the month. Steps up markedly in trip now, but dam's half-sister won a Group Three over this distance and another of her half-siblings stayed 1m4f, so she may be able to take a step in the right direction this time. Market check advised.

Forecasts
Niseko (5/2), Metronomic (7/2), Rosemay (7/2), Treagus (4/1), Mr C (10/1), Thomas Crown (18/1), Rainbow Chimes (25/1), Lady Kaviar (25/1), Whisper A Word (40/1)
Very moderate fayre where NISEKO looks the one to beat and if he can reproduce or better his Brighton run then that may well be good enough. Rosemay and Metronomic are others who could mount a challenge, while Treagus is not one to write off just yet.
- Niseko
