His Sandown win over 5f last summer stands out like a beacon in his form as he never really went on from that win off a mark of 93 where he found plenty for pressure. Looked in need of his recent reappearance run and may well be capable of building on that for a yard in good form.

Trainer is a real expert in the sprinting division and this one who hasn't long been under his care shaped well for him at Lingfield on his last start. Mark of 92 looks fair and he should be able to make an impression here with that run under his belt.

Signs of a revival on his penultimate start at Doncaster over 5f (had fallen below his last winning mark). That promise was realised over C&D last time and off a 5lb higher mark he stands every chance of getting in the mix again.

One of two three-year-olds in this his stable are in decent form and he comes here in rude health having won two of his last three races although failing to complete a hat-trick last time. He can be excused that defeat though as he was one of a few who forced the pace and can't be ruled out here.

The other member of the Classic generation in this she showed her best form when winning at York last month on ground with plenty of give in the ground. Bounced back from a poor run when taking the runner-up slot at Haydock last time and would have a chance of hitting the frame here.

C&D winner who has won ten times in all and can often travel well in his races. Possible things haven't quite gone to plan this term but he has slipped below his last winning mark and will be a danger of all drops right.

Engaged here on Friday night over 6f. Did look to take his form to its best level when winning here over 7f but looks to find this 5f trip on the sharp side and would be a surprise winner if he does turn up here.

Forecasts

El Hombre (11/4), Son Of Africa (4/1), Orvar (5/1), My Name Is Rio (5/1), Lightscameraction (7/1), Coolfitch (15/2), Lexington Place (9/1), Tommy G (10/1)

Verdict

Several of interest here although a couple of them could really do with a strongly run race and Lexington Place is one of those especially off a sliding mark. The two three-year-olds both hold chances but El Hombre would be preferred over Coolfitch as long as he does not get caught up in a speed war. My Name Is Rio is respected as is Son Of Africa but overall ORVAR has the look of one who could be ahead of his mark and his trainer is a dab hand with this sort.
  1. Orvar
  2. El Hombre
  3. Lexington Place
