Happy on all grounds, having won on everything from heavy to good to firm, and went close on hurdles debut at Wincanton in March. Possibly didn't get home at Fontwell last time and this drop back to a bare 2m (and another drop in grade) will both help.
Yet to win in 14 starts but has gone close a couple of times, and only just denied at Exeter in January. Still 2lb higher than that win and may prefer slightly softer ground, so with this run possibly needed (will be first since February) others preferred.
Winner at Sedgefield in April and another solid effort at Kelso in May, but both those efforts came over half a mile further and he was outpaced over this trip at Perth in between those efforts. Others make more appeal.
Off the mark at the fifth attempt over hurdles when springing a 40/1 shock at Sedgefield in May. Appeared to be no fluke about that win though, so from just 3lb higher may well improve again now she's found the winning habit.
First run for new yard and what few runners they are having at present are going well, so that's a positive, but this one does need to turn form around having fallen some way in the handicap after some moderate efforts. Probably best watched today.
Didn't seem to stay the trip at Uttoxeter last time out, so that run best forgiven, but even at 2m previously her finishing efforts were often weak. On a fair mark but needs to dig in when the pressure's applied.
Only the one win from 57 starts, which rather tells it's own story, but wouldn't be out of it if reproducing her Hexham effort two starts ago when second in a seller (in a first time tongue tie, missing last time). Very risky, but conditions ideal, and not totally discounted.
2 from 2 in Jersey this spring but form under Rules is less encouraging, although her close third in a seller at Taunton gives her some hope here. Conditions fine, but others more likely.
First run for new yard here, but this three-time point-to-point winner will surely find this too sharp a test, and isn't in any great form anyway. Best watched today.
Forecasts
Kristal Hart (11/4), Louloumills (3/1), Kristal Star (4/1), Prairie Impulse (7/1), Chance Taken (8/1), Bygones For Coins (12/1), Running In Heels (14/1), Little Lotte (14/1), Sweet Midnight (50/1)
Now that PRAIRIE IMPULSE has found the winning habit she may well be able to follow up in a fairly moderate contest. There won't be any 40/1 around this time but she holds a solid chance of following up her Sedgefield win under conditions that should suit. Kristal Hart will find this easier and should be up to making an impression. Chance Taken may need the run but could be good enough for minor money anyway.
