Excellent effort last month to score over 1m5f (good) at Leopardstown, beating Ligeti by ½L. Just 4lb higher here over a longer trip but has to be in the mix on the back of that career-best effort.
Returned from an absence with credible show in 3m hurdles contest at Down Royal last month, doesn't win many on the Flat (2/19) but weighted to have a fair crack here if on his game.
Couple of positive efforts in Flat maidens over this sort of trip at Clonmel and Leopardstown lately, this is undoubtedly tougher now going in a handicap but cannot be discounted.
Won this race two years ago and is rated just 3lb higher now. Run credibly in two starts for this yard after more than a year off, once over hurdles and, latest, over 1m5f at Leopardstown when beaten just over 3L. Extra distance to help here and one for the shortlist.
A 20-race maiden now, he was beaten 10L over C&D 12 months ago off a 2lb lower mark and has it all to coming back off a layoff seemingly.
No victory since May 2015, has generally been struggling in both codes this year and doesn't appear well handicapped for this despite going up in trip and getting blinkers refitted.
Both his wins have come on the AW, including over 2m in March, not quite as good on turf thus far bur does appear to handle the surface nonetheless. Still 4lb higher than previous win mark so going to require a career-best to snare this prize.
Finished last of ten over this sort of trip at Clonmel in May 2016 on previous Flat run, badly out of form over hurdles in September when last out and has plenty on his plate coming into this competitive contest off a 267-day layoff.
Maiden on the Flat and similar tale in seven starts over timber, not progressing and step up in trip last time didn't change outlook over the jumps at Clonmel (2m3f, good). Blinkers on but has lots to find on return to this game.
Lightly-raced filly won a seller on good-to-firm ground at Goodwood in August, very disappointing in both runs since including first run for new trainer over 1m4f on AW at Dundalk last month. Bit to ponder at the moment.
Agonisingly denied over this trip at Clonmel in May (good to firm) when edged out by a nose. Since won over timber at Punchestown before perhaps finding 2m4f too far back at Clonmel. With a 5lb claim to add his cause, looks to hold a more than decent claim back on the level.

St Lawrence Gap comes here on the back of a career best in scoring at Leopardstown last time out, the extra distance will be of no concern but a 4lb hike and conceding weight in all directions might just tell on him. Former C&D winner He's Our Man has gone well enough in two runs for current connections to merit a place on the shortlist while handicap debutant Magna Cartor and Tommy Welsh are also worth noting. The vote though is handed to TALSARA, who could scarcely have gone closer in previous Flat run at Clonmel in similar conditions and has since scored over timber. With Killian Leonard's claims to help, he's got a decent chance of a winning return to the Flat scene.
