Won this race two years ago off a 2lb lower mark but has failed to shine in three outings so far this campaign. Plenty of weight but has in-form jockey to help his cause.
Scored with something in hand when bolting in at Pontefract 10 days ago and carries his 6lb penalty here. Sure to go well if in the same mood, and both yard and jockey enoying a successful time of late.
Tumbled 10lb down the weights over the last year after a series of generally disappointing efforts. Hasn't obviously thrived since joining current yard this term and others make more appeal.
Has won two of his last three A/W starts for two different trainers. First outing for current handler enjoying a good campaign and has to prove he is effective on turf in a better race.
Three wins last term on fastish ground over today's trip but hasn't really got going so far in 2017. Back on last winning rating though so any market interest would be worthy of note.
Best over five furlongs on decent ground so has had excuses on last two outings. Judged on previous efforts has to be respected, representing top yard and with first-time visor applied. Likely to give a good account of himself if conditions remain unchanged.
Generally progressive low-grade handicap sprinter who has won twice on A/W and twice on turf. Should be fresh after a two-month break following winter A/W campaign and rider's 7lb allowance will do no harm.
Ran satisfactory race recently in first-time cheekpieces but they are dispensed with this time. Usually ridden for luck so supporters will have to hold their breath and see if he finds the gaps at the right time.
Only 4lb higher than win over C&D last month but has disappointed in two subsequent starts. Return to happy hunting ground won't harm and certainly not ruled out of calculations.

LAWLESS LOUIS is back at his optimum trip and with underfoot conditions to suit is expected to give a good account of himself in an open contest. Main danger may come from the in-form Oriental Splendour, while Red Alert, demoted after passing the post in front last time, should go well as he bids for compensation. Pea Shooter, winner of this race two years ago, and recent C&D winner Pearl Noir are others to consider in a trappy affair.
