Just the 2 wins from 23 starts, but did look on the way back to form with a staying-on fourth at Ayr latest and if the change of headgear works (did win first time up in blinkers) wouldn't be out of this. Likely conditions fine.
Showed promise in bumpers last year and although no great shakes on the Flat so far, she's been looking for a handicap mark and her staying on fourth over 1m at Ayr last time hinted at better. Step up in trip here certain to suit and she looks one for the shortlist.
Very well handicapped now on the best of his form for Alan King, and a recent run over hurdles at Cartmel suggested all was not lost. Conditions here should be fine and from such a lowly mark, can't be ruled out.
Heavily backed to win a handicap at Ayr last week and duly bolted up, the first time hood probably helping his cause (can race freely). Penalty to carry less of a worry than the quicker ground here, but won with so much in hand he may simply be too good again.
Arguably her best effort for a while when second to Retrieve in a seller at Leicester last time out, but hasn't won one since 2015 and will surely find some of these too hot to handle again.
Has plenty of form at the track and twice a winner here, but recent form is patchy at best and she needs to bounce back from a poor effort here last week. Others make more appeal.
Only win to date came here in 2015, but mark falling quickly after some moderate efforts and a variety of headgear has been tried to stop the rot, all to little avail. Can't be looked at as the winner in present mood.
Went close here (over 9f) last summer but it's been all downhill since then, and has plenty to prove now, not least the suitability of this trip. Makes little appeal.
Beaten big margins all starts and although this step up in trip may suit (stayed on late last time) simply looks to have too much to do here.
Forecasts
Tonto's Spirit (10/11), Thorntoun Care (4/1), Donnachies Girl (8/1), Uriah Heep (14/1), Moon Over Rio (14/1), Schmooze (14/1), Celtic Power (14/1), Indian Giver (25/1), Dan's Hopeforglory (66/1)
TONTO'S SPIRIT won doing cartwheels at Ayr last week and if in the same form, a penalty isn't going to stop him. Donnachies Girl may well improve for the step up in trip and can give him most to think about. Uriah Heep can hold off Thorntoun Care for the minor money.
