Just one win from 25 starts so far, coming over 1m2f at Clonmel (soft) in maiden company in May 2015. Didn't run badly at Limerick on Saturday (1m3f, good to firm) and certainly has claims dropped into this company.
Winner over 1m4f on the AW at Dundalk in March, excellent effort last month at Clonmel (1m1f, good to firm) when beaten just a head and a repeat of that effort would have him in the mix here.
Maiden in Britain after nine starts for two yards and comes here for stable debut on the back of 12 months off. Has run some fair races but big ask with fitness to prove.
Losing streak is out to 13 now, has run some credible races in that sequence however, but finished last of 13 over 1m4f on Dundalk's AW in February on sole start for this trainer. Much to prove at the moment.
Winner over this sort of trip in France in the past, posted a decent effort at Tipperary in April over 1m4f (yielding) and merits some consideration at this level.
Well beaten in all starts to date, just one sighting over the last 12 month came when tailed off in a charity Flat contest at Punchestown in April. Hard to raise confidence.
Finished runner-up in a Ballinrobe (1m1f, yielding) maiden claimer in June 2016 but well beaten in three subsequent starts last year. Last of 15 on return to action at Fairyhouse this month (1m2f, good) and first-time blinkers will need to bring about a significant turnaround.
Forecasts
Adimelo (11/8), Highly Toxic (2/1), Sbraase (4/1), Specific Gravity (7/1), Lady Argentum (33/1), Delaire (33/1), Verney Boy (50/1)
Adimelo, decent over hurdles, ran a fair race at Tipperary on the Flat in April and is certainly worth some consideration for his in-form trainer now dropping into this company, while similar sentiments apply to Highly Toxic after a decent effort at Limerick this past weekend. Support for either would be heeding in a weak contest but SPECIFIC GRAVITY appeals as the most likely winner. He's won at Dundalk this year and was just held last month at Clonmel.
- Specific Gravity
- Adimelo
- Highly Toxic
