Gets a penalty for winning a small field handicap in Jersey recently when an odds-on favourite and will find this tougher although he doesn't meet any improvers here. Very promising claimer engaged for the ride though and he negates the penalty for this course winner.
His mark is coming down to a workable one even though it's a long time since he won his form does read quite well if you forgive his most recent start at Goodwood. May have been ridden a bit too close to the pace there and hard to right off here in a race that doesn't look at tough as some of his recent contests.
Just run once here when third on her penultimate start but looked well below that form last time out at Goodwood. Visor now reached for (first-time) and with top overseas rider booked and worth watching in the market.
In good form earlier in the year on the AW at Wolverhampton but hasn't run on turf for quite some while now (one win on turf). Can travel well in his races and looks quite interesting off this mark having won off higher in the past although the switch to turf is a slight concern.
Couple of decent runs a few starts back at Lingfield on the AW but it does seem a long time since he won now and his stable are a little quiet at the moment. Run twice here before without success and others have stronger claims.
6f maiden winner on her second start she's yet to win a handicap and she might have a chance on her penultimate run here over 6f. Ran into a couple of less exposed sorts there and kept on well and would be of interest back over 7f.
Forecasts
Gold Club (11/4), Baby Gal (3/1), Jersey Breeze (4/1), Swiss Cross (4/1), Pushkin Museum (8/1), Noble Deed (10/1)
Nothing that is noticeably ahead of its mark here but a chance is taken with GOLD CLUB who can be forgiven his run last time out and looks to be on a decent mark. Swiss Cross has the very promising Finley Marsh on board to wipe out the penalty gained when winning in Jersey last time out with Pushkin Museum also interesting returning to turf. Baby Gal is another worth keeping an eye on in the market although she would probably be better back over 7f.
- Gold Club
- Pushkin Museum
- Swiss Cross
