Played only a minor role in two maiden hurdles earlier in the year and would need to prove a different proposition on his Flat debut in order to figure.
Fared slightly better on second start at Gowran Park over 7f (yielding to soft) last month but needs a bit more again to be in the shake-up.

Holy Roman Emperor gelding cost 27,000 gns as a 2yo, related to some useful winners but some concern that he's sporting cheekpieces and a tongue strap for this debut run.

Not a lot to write home about in two maidens so far, latest bringing 8L defeat over 1m2f (good) at Navan last month. Could improve however.

Son of Dream Ahead purchased for €30,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to 1m winner Lass Vega and wore a visor for his debut at Killarney (1m, good) when sixth of eight. Tongue strap on now instead and could do better.

Has shown up well enough in three maidens on at AW at Dundalk to merit consideration for this initial turf outing.

Out of Duke Of Marmalade and cost €30,000 but well beaten in both runs so far, latest over 6f at Fairyhouse and now goes back up to the mile.

Ran to similar level when dropped in trip to this mile on her second start compared to when running over further on her first (1m2f, AW). Could be a slow-burner though and may potentially have more to offer.

Didn't get the clearest run on debut at Listowel (1m, good) 13 days ago, but will regardless have to improve to get in the mix here.
Elusive Pimpernel filly is a half-sister to a few winners but yard have been quiet in terms of runners lately and she may see the benefit of this run.

Intense Focus filly cost €2,000 as a yearling and doesn't make immediate appeal on paper for this debut run.

Perhaps unfortunate not to be off the mark after four starts, Galileo filly ran her most disappointing race so far over 1m at the Curragh last month and has questions to answer at this point in time.

Daughter of Lope De Vega was fourth of 11 in a 7f Gowran Park maiden earlier in the month, beaten close to 20L. Can surely improve on that showing.
Unable to get involved when it mattered in either runs so far, latest being an 18L defeat over 1m at Listowel earlier this month, plenty room for improvement if getting in (First Reserve).

Only previous run saw her tailed off over 1m on the AW at Dundalk in November, big ask here if getting a run (Second Reserve).

Breeze (15/8), Puppetshow (9/4), Aljunood (4/1), Roman Wells (5/1), Suzy Vega (8/1), Haroon (12/1), Favorite Story (12/1), Dreams Of Winter (20/1), First Excursion (25/1), Phantasmagorical (25/1), Aldawayfornothing (33/1), Bella Rua (33/1), Fashaar (33/1), Zircon (33/1), Lady's Wish (50/1), Bright Lass (50/1), Focus Well (50/1), Atlantic Jet (66/1), Travelwise (80/1)

Verdict

Puppetshow has got the best form in the book but she's had five chances to score at his level already and was most disappointing last time out. She's entitled to run a big race but is opposable at the likely prices given that last run. Aljunood seemed to enjoy tackling the mile last time and may improve again to take a hand in the finish while Breeze is another with potential for better things to come. ROMAN WELLS however has caught the eye in three maidens on the AW and shouldn't be waiting much longer for a breakthrough so he's taken to land this for the Halford team.
  1. Roman Wells
  2. Puppetshow
  3. Aljunood
