Won his maiden at Newcastle over 1m4½f in March and not too much wrong with his two runs since then in handicap company. Kept on the same mark today and now stepped up in trip, which is not certain to suit given a glance at his pedigree. Just a little to prove today.

Runner-up in a pair of 1m4f Lingfield maidens in March but didn't look suited by the drop in trip at Wolverhampton last time. Could now be a different proposition stepped up to 1m6f and if would be no surprise if we see a much better effort with headgear also now added.

Got off the mark at Southwell (1m4f, AW) in April and went very close to a follow up at this trip next time at Chelmsford. Remained competitive when raised 2lb to this mark last time in a significantly better race than this and likely to be very competitive.

Remains a maiden after six starts. Was competitive over 1m2f at Goodwood last month when 1lb lower and beat everything except a wide margin winner over 1m4f at Brighton last time. Has stamina to prove over this far and others look more likely to be coming home in front.

Made a successful step up to this trip at Nottingham (good) last time, when he has 4L to spare over the winner. Raised 5lb for that and in a stronger race here, so needs to find some improvement, but can't rule that out.

Won over 1m2f at Newcastle (AW) in November when 6lb lower but already beginning to look exposed from this mark over shorter. However, there is a fair chance given his connections, that he could do better now stepped up in trip and with headgear added. Market check advised.

Forecasts

Dominating (7/4), Blushing Red (10/3), Look My Way (5/1), Oxford Blu (6/1), Chaparrachik (13/2), Pete So High (12/1), Ulysses (16/1)

Verdict

Pete So High looks to have very solid claims of another win in this grade, but the same be said of LOOK MY WAY, whose form in a stronger contest last time out looks good in the context of this race, and he gets the nod. Ulysses, Dominating and Oxford Blu are others who could make their presence felt.
  1. Look My Way
  2. Pete So High
  3. Ulysses
