Thrashed them in a seller at Fakenham two starts back and ran to a similar level when runner-up at Hexham latest start. Back into handicap company here but clearly in good heart, and with likely conditions fine, another bold showing would be no surprise.

Second at Huntingdon in April, a decent enough effort, but form has taken a turn for the worse since than and was pulled up at Newton Abbot latest. Comes with plenty of risks attached now, and others look to hold better claims.

Might have gone close to winning but for a bad fall at Musselburgh but more recent form isn't up to that standard, and hard to have much confidence in in current mood. Looks to have too much to do.

Gave it a good go from the front at Newton Abbot on most recent start, finding only a resurgent Lake Chapala too good, but soft ground there possibly a big factor and won't get that here. Bit to prove, although not discounted.

It was 51st time lucky over this C&D here in May but to be fair, he'd shown plenty of ability before that without ever getting his head in front. May well go on from that now, and a 2lb rise for that win still leaves him on a fair mark.

Had shown little until a good second at Market Rasen last time out, a last-flight mistake not helping his cause. Has been given a fair mark from which to work from and chances if building on that effort.

Showed a modicum of promise on debut in a bumper at Exeter last year, but little since, and was well beaten on latest start at Chepstow. Goes handicapping from a low mark, and both tongue tie and cheekpieces go on, so worth a glance in the market at least.

Winner on the Flat (for another yard) over 1m6f last September, and has shown ability in hurdles without ever threatening. Key here is move to Dan Skelton, who goes for the tongue tie, and no saying how much he will improve the horse. Market will tell plenty.

Been beaten big distances most starts and no better for going into handicaps when last seen, but given a break since then and better ground here may help. Lightly raced and needs a market check at the very least.

Irish yard do well with their raiders here (5 winners from 15 runners last 5 years) so that alone makes him worthy of attention. Winner here from a 5lb lower mark in April but that was on softer ground, and may find conditions a little quick. Still respected.

Only moderate but form here reads a second and a win, so likes the track, and didn't perform too badly when a close third at Ffos Las on latest start. Chance if building on that and yard had a welcome winner Tuesday.

Wonn a selling handicap at Taunton in April and will like these likely quick conditions, but not so good since then and a poor effort at Warwick latest needs forgiving if he's to hold a chance here. Others are preferred.

Forecasts

Wynford (5/2), Orion's Might (9/2), Bring Back Charlie (5/1), Marmont (7/1), Ujagar (9/1), Back To Balloo (10/1), Mash Potato (14/1), State The Obvious (16/1), Greenworldsolution (16/1), Kingston Mimosa (20/1), Intifadah (25/1), The Groove (25/1), Recognition (80/1)

Verdict

The market could tell us plenty here, with the likes of The Groove, WYNFORD and State The Obvious all open to plenty of improvement. Preference is for Wynford, who may well leave all previous form behind now joining Dan Skelton, and is the sort to find plenty more now he's moving yards. Orion's Might looked like he'd never win one but he put that right last time out and is still well enough handicapped. Bring Back Charlie and Marmont are others to consider.
  1. Wynford
  2. Orion's Might
  3. Bring Back Charlie
