February foal who cost £30,000 as a yearling. One of two stable representatives from a yard which has yet to saddle a winning juvenile this year.

33/1
January foal who is a half-brother to the precocious winning juvenile Melbourne Memories. Cost 120,000 guineas as a yearling and is an interesting runner for a yard more renowned for winning juvenile races on the AW.

13/2
February foal who fetched €55,000 as a yearling, having cost much less as a foal. Yard is doing exceptionally well with their juveniles this year, so certainly one to consider.
January foal out of a dam who is a half-sister to the 1000 Guineas winner, Special Duty. Stable's juveniles always have to be feared and this newcomer is no exception.

Glacier

16/1
April foal from a good family, being out of a juvenile 1m winner. Cost 65,000 guineas as a yearling and looks the more eyecatching of two representatives from this powerful yard.

Horse silk
20/1
April foal who cost 12,000. One of two representatives from the yard and the market is likely to prove informative.

4/7
Cost €600,000 as a yearling and was fancied to make a winning debut in a 6f novice stakes at Haydock (good to firm) but had to settle for second behind Finniston Farm. Looks sure to build on that here and could take some stopping.

April foal who is a half-brother to the juvenile 6f winner Cap Patrol, costing £35,000 as a yearling. One of two stable representatives from a yard which has yet to saddle a winning juvenile this year.

Horse silk
33/1
March foal who cost €185,000 as a yearling. Profile and pedigree suggests she will will come into her own over further in time, so probably best watched first time out.

Forecasts

Mutakatif (4/7), Expert Eye (6/1), Cuban Heel (13/2), Barraquero (14/1), Shootingthe Breeze (14/1), Glacier (16/1), Petrus (20/1), Magnificent (20/1), Diva Star (33/1), Corazon Espinado (33/1)

Verdict

Possibly the weaker of the two divisions on paper but Cuban Heel, Expert Eye and Glacier have plenty to recommend them providing the market doesn't suggest otherwise. Even so, Charlie Hills' expensive purchase MUTAKATIF displayed plenty of promise first time out at Haydock and it would be no surprise to see him exploit that experience edge against the first-timers.
  1. Mutakatif
  2. Expert Eye
  3. Cuban Heel
