Won a maiden in January and has backed that up by taking two of next three races, a Dundalk handicap over this trip and a conditions race back over 7f last time. Stable took this in 2015.

Some promising efforts in three AW maidens at Dundalk this year over 7f/1m and off the mark first time in a handicap over there in early May (runner-up has scored since).

Gutsy winner of a Navan handicap and 4lb higher here. Second and third were soundly beaten next time and he has more to do.

Landed a weak looking C&D maiden before making his handicap debut here last week over 1m2f. Interesting to see him drop in trip but overall form suggests he needs to find more and he has shown a tendency to miss the break.

Scraped home at Cork last month and that form has been devalued since. Open to improvement with tongue-tie applied but others make more appeal.

Outclassed a modest bunch at Dundalk in February and that is reflected in her opening mark. Yard have been relatively quiet of late but the better performances have come from those supported in the ring. Stable landed this with another lightly raced sort in 2014.

Just denied by a fitter rival on handicap debut twelve days ago. This looks stronger and trainer is still seeking his first Flat winner of the campaign.

Forecasts

Auckland (2/1), Jon Ess (9/2), Vocal Response (5/1), Allography (7/1), Zinat (7/1), Nimitz (8/1), Rock In Peace (8/1)

Verdict

Five of the seven were winners last time out and the others were runners-up. Zinat is interesting on handicap debut having won a minor race at Dundalk and the market will be informative. Auckland, Rock In Peace and Vocal Response represent powerhouse yards and have to be respected as such. The vote goes to JON ESS judged on his defeat of Hailstone last time when the pair were 10L clear of the third. Hailstone scored off a higher mark next time and that raises hopes that Pat Smullen's mount can do likewise here.
  1. Jon Ess
  2. Zinat
  3. Auckland
