450,000 gns purchase who made all to score on her third maiden run as a juvenile over 7f making the most of her experience. Runner-up has franked the form since and handicap mark of 85 looks about right. Market should indicate what progress she has made over the winter.

Had five future winners behind when making all over C&D in September and fairly handicapped on that form. Highly tried since and takes a big drop in class. Has appeared not to get a mile and drop to 7f is a positive. Yard back amongst the winners yesterday.

Won her maiden here over 1m and has been difficult to place since. Drops in trip and class so possible those changes may be the answer.

Opened her account in an ordinary maiden but it is the form of her second here to the top-class Qatar Man that suggests she is well weighted. She is clearly flattered by the form but the third home has turned out be rated 90. She may have needed the run on her reappearance when the ground was atrocious but she will surely exploit this attractive mark soon. Yard 6-23 in past fortnight and trainer/jockey combination are 4-12 at this venue.

Bred to be effective on this surface and scored here last year before adding another victory in the mud at Leicester. Not disgraced in both starts this term and tackles this trip for the first time. Impossible to rule out despite a 3lb rise.

One of nine winners the trainer has produced from this family. Justified market support on debut when landing a Lingfield maiden and her opening mark may underestimate her. As a daughter of Frankel the extra furlong should help and she is hard to rule out in an open contest.

Winner at Southwell and lack of a run probably accounted for her showing at Goodwood. Will strip fitter here and yard 6-29 in past fortnight, but she still faces stiffer opposition in this than has been the case lately.

Dam won here and she did likewise when beating Golden Nectar in October. That horse went on to score next time and that form line gives her a clear edge over Shenanigans. Beaten in the mud when sent off favourite for her reappearance and conditions will be more suitable here and stable are in better form. Slight worry the trip may be on the short side but the trainer knows the family well.

Won a Lingfield maiden in February and has struggled since. Cheekpieces go on and this has turned out to be a hot contest. Question marks concerning her current BHA rating and there are better alternatives.

Looked favoured by the weights when landing a conditions event in November. Had previously chased home Tribute Act and would be well treated if that form can be taken at face value. Stable were in the midst of a bad spell when he reappeared a month ago but they are now 2-7 in the last two weeks.

Forecasts

Tribute Act (9/4), Yaraki (9/2), Shenanigans (13/2), Illaunmore (7/1), Raven's Lady (8/1), Parlance (8/1), Ventura Blues (14/1), Syndicate (16/1), Mitigate (25/1), Odelouca (50/1)

Verdict

A solid case can be made for most in what has turned out to be a strong lineup for a race of this class at this venue. TRIBUTE ACT and Shenanigans are the two we will take against the field. Both look well handicapped on their juvenile form and a credible form line through Golden Nectar suggests the former has a clear edge. James Fanshawe has his team in fine order and whatever the result this filly will not be long in winning. Yaraki and Ventura Blues are feared most.
  1. Tribute Act
  2. Shenanigans
  3. Yaraki
