Still seeking his first win after nine attempts and was beaten 21L last time, although that looked to be the wrong trip. Dropped right back from 1m5f to 1m½f this time, so we will see whether he is capable of getting much more competitive now that he has dropped 6lb for his two runs this term.

All three of his wins have been on All Weather surfaces, the most recent being last time over this trip at Newcastle. Up 3lb for that narrow success, which is going to ask bigger questions of him.

His two wins came in 2014 and 2015, the latter over C&D (good to soft) from a 12lb higher mark. Best of his turf form has come with some cut and goes into this after three very respectable recent efforts both on turf and All Weather. Same mark as when just over 1L adrift last time and should be very competitive.

Beaten favourite over 6f at Ripon a couple of starts back, but put that behind him with a head success when stepped up to 1m at Wetherby last week on testing ground. Front oair had over 3L in hand there and he may well be up to defying this penalty.

Has knocked on the door a couple of times just lately without managing to barge his way in, last time at Beverley being a case in point (7½f, good to firm). Recorded five of his nine career wins here between 2010-2014, though has not threatened to repeat that in any of his return visits for this yard.

Showed a modicum of promise in a couple of her four maiden starts, finishing runner-up over both 7f and 1m. The latter was on a slow surface at Southwell, so she may handle this soft ground on her first try. However, he mark looks potentially more problematic given her 7L defeat last time.

Handles cut in the ground, although both wins were recorded on a sound/fast surface. Has dropped 6lb going into this, though this trip will demand more speed than he has been showing and others are preferred.

0-32 so far and has been frustrating to follow, with six seconds to her name, including twice over C&D and another here over 1m1f. Handles cut well and is 3lb lower than the latest of those runners-up efforts, so could again be in the money.

Couldn't get competitive for Tom Dascombe at around this trip and that got worse on her first start for this yard when a 13L eighth of 10 at Redcar last month (1m2f, good to firm). Plenty to prove, not least whether she will handle this much slower ground on her first run on it.

Runner-up at Ayr (1m, good) last time from 2lb lower, so should be capable of another bold showing but needs to prove herself on this going if she is to repeat that effort.

Has started at 66-1 and bigger in all four outings and probably outperformed his 100-1 SP when a 3¾L sixth of 11 on his handicap debut at Leicester (7f, good) last time. Yet to race on soft ground, so has that box to tick, but could improve for the step up to this trip if pedigree is anything to go by.

Beaten a total of 61L in his three maidens so far and now goes handicapping from a very lowly mark and tries turf for the first time. Looks best watched on this occasion.
