All 16 of his wins have been over the minimum trip and he goes into this 3lb lower than the last of them at Chelmsford. Went close in all three starts last month and looks one of the more likely winners, though being nudged up the weights is not going to help.
Enjoyed a tremendous 2016, recording five of his 14 career wins at the age of nine. 3lb higher than the last of those now and handles soft ground, but looks in need of a further drop in the weights to win again.
Made it three wins all at 5f when scoring at Newcastle last time from 5lb lower. Previously began to struggle when as high as this in the weights, however, so will need to have improved again to follow-up.
Has been racing over further so far in four starts for this yard, but gets both a 3lb drop in the weights and a drop to the minimum trip here, while the visor is also added. Similar, prominent tactics like last time would be a positive and he can go well.
Runner-up in a tight finish at Redcar (5f, good) last time, when she was touched off by ½L. 1lb higher this time, but that was encouraging in context and she handles soft ground. Interesting.
All three turf wins have been on a sound or fast surface and at Catterick, but he has run well on good to soft before, so there is hope that he may handle this. Back on his last winning mark too, so has a bit going for him in a bid to return to the number one spot.
Handles cut in the ground well, as seen when last scoring at Leicester (5f, good to soft) last month. 5lb higher today and this sort of mark has proved prohibitive in the past, including here over 6f last time. May find a couple too good.
2lb lower than his last win, which came at Ripon (5f, good) in September. Seems to go on any ground and has a win on soft to his name. Last two runs not his best, but if returning to the form he showed at Ripon or Musselburgh in April he would have decent claims.
Won over 6f here (heavy) in September from 2lb higher and appears to be better over that trip. Beaten just ¾L here (again over 6f. soft) last time from this mark, so if she can show enough pace for this shorter trip she could have a big say with conditions just about ideal.
Has been in good form this season, being beaten a short head over C&D (good to firm) last month and then winning from a mark of 64 by the same margin again over C&D (good) last time. Up 5lb for that and balance of recent form suggests that he might struggle to bridge that gap.

Desert Ace has been off the mark in his last two runs, but a return to his April form would give him claims here. Bronze Beau is looking exposed again, as are the old stager Silvanus and Henley, but Economic Crisis could go well in these conditions. However, the two to concentrate on could be Landing Night now that he is back on a winning mark and HONEYSUCKLE LIL, who gets the vote due to her clear love for these conditions.
