160,000 gns half-brother to several winners who were effective at around 1m2f. Had some fair form in maidens as a juvenile including a fourth to the useful Law And Order. Missed the break when heavily backed on return before making most to win a minor race at Beverley. The third won next time and there could be a lot more to come now his yard are showing signs of coming back into form.
Has improved with each run and certainly has a race of this type within her. Stable have been going well and she holds an entry in the Irish Oaks.
Would appear to be going backwards currently. Beaten short-priced favourite on two of his last three starts and something to prove now.
Beaten favourite on return when allowing the winner to get first run. Ground was atrocious when beaten at York last month but blinkers are retained. Stable are beginning to discover some form so there can be no excuses this time.
200,000 gns half-brother to Group Two 1m-extended 1m2f winner Bonfire. Some promise in three slowly run maidens over a variety of trips. Handicap mark cannot be described as lenient but open to improvement.
Has shown some ability in three maidens and having looked one paced last time she steps up to a distance in line with her pedigree. Something to find but stable in form.
Has appeared not to stay 1m1f so this trip is a concern with the dam's produce having done better at around a mile.
Landed a class six race on handicap debut and was denied a clear run when bidding to follow up at Newcastle next time. Off the track three months and upped in class, so probably best observed.
Forecasts
Really Super (2/1), Amlad (4/1), Bedouin (9/2), Sufi (7/1), Marqoom (8/1), Cubswin (10/1), Medalla De Oro (20/1), Maori Bob (25/1)
This is a trappy contest with a number of the leading contenders trying this trip for the first time. There could be a false pace as a result and Cubswin would not want this to become tactical. Bedouin disappointed last time but should prove effective under these faster conditions. Amlad is interesting with a leading rider booked who does well for the yard. REALLY SUPER sidestepped a race at Chepstow this week on account of the soft ground and that makes her latest effort all the more commendable. She has progressed with each run and, with the stable in excellent form, she may prove to be the answer. Future engagements suggest she potentially has tougher assignments ahead of her.
- Really Super
- Amlad
- Bedouin
