Useful sprinter who landed a Listed event at York in his prime. Almost two years since his last win and latest effort was uninspiring.
Useful on his day; won a very valuable handicap at the Curragh towards the end of last season and has run well fresh several times in his career. Up in the weights with stable having gone quiet and rain would enhance his prospects.
Trainer does well with his acquisitions from Ireland and he shaped like another when getting up late to score at York. Conditions are expected to be quicker here but there is potentially more to come and jockey booking catches the eye.
Winner of nine races who has a patchy profile. Shaped well at big prices on his last two starts but looking fully weighted for now.
All bar one of his nine wins have come on an AW surface but ran well when beaten 1½L into fourth over 5f at Chester (good) last time out and an interesting runner returning to optimum trip today. Trainer 0-46 at the track.
Has been running consistently well and has crept up the weights as a result. Yard are still seeking their first winner of the year and she will need to produce a career best in order to take this.
Winner here at the Craven meeting when comfortably beating Normandy Barriere who scored next time. Legitimate excuses on next two starts and stable returned to form with a double on Thursday.
Last seen when winning a York nursery in 2015. Has clearly had problems since and yard have a 1-27 record with break returners of at least one year.
Impressive winner of first two starts of the year before finding 7f too far last time. Facing a stiff task off this revised mark and trainer/jockey combination have a modest 2-20 strike rate.
Winner at Newbury and Ascot last year and showed signs of further progress to collect at Goodwood last time. Sure to be well to the fore again, despite a further 5lb rise, with trainer 5-19 in past fortnight.
Better on the AW recently and stable have been underperforming. Starting to drop down the weights but still appears to be one of the outsiders for this.
Record of 2-21 and a two year gap since his last win is hardly the ideal profile for a race as competitive as this. Looks held by a few of these despite some respite from the handicapper.
Scored impressively enough on return before meeting a well-handicapped rival at Leicester next time. That form gives him an obvious chance and faster conditions are not a problem. Rider 6-19 for his in form yard.

Several of these will be lining up for the Wokingham later this month and it will be an opportunity to make notes with that event in mind. Culturati takes the eye after his layoff and he will probably be using this to add the finishing touches to his Royal Ascot preparations. Scorching Heat is feared at the foot of the handicap as are Gunmetal and Boy In The Bar. For the selection we look no further than AL QAHWA. David O'Meara's Irish import won a shade cleverly at York and his third to Gordon Lord Byron last term gives his astute trainer plenty to work on.
