Won three times in Ireland for David Wachman over 7f-1m on ground ranging from yielding to heavy, so conditions and trip are to his liking today. Had a recent sighter for this yard at Leciester and has since been dropped 1lb. Likely to be very competitive from top weight in this lower grade.
Almost a year since he was winning a 0-90 handicap over C&D (good to soft) from a mark of 76, but has been unable to trouble the judge since. The years may now be beginning to take their toll, although the glimmer of hope is that he is back here and on softer ground, so not one to completely discard yet from 2lb lower than that last win.
Sole success came in a 6f Salisbury maiden (good to soft) 13 months ago, but ran a good race from 6lb higher than this over 7f later in the season. Since joined this yard and had three runs before being stepped back up to this trip for just the second time. Half-brother to a winner over it and dam stayed further, so could begin to go forward again.
Won 10 times between 2012 and 2015, all at 1m or 1m1f and some on softer ground. Now 19lb lower than his last success, which was 13 starts ago for David O'Meara and has been on the slide since leaving him before his next start. Headgear on for the first time on his 62nd start and it needs to produce very positive results.
C&D winner on soft ground last year from 5lb lower and followed up at Hamilton from 1lb lower. Those were for Tim Easterby and although she has been well beaten on both starts for this very capable yard, she is now back to the sort of mark from which she is clearly capable of being competitive.
Persistence paid off with this Sea The Stars filly when she came good at the 14th attempt over C&D (good to firm) last time out. That represented her best form yet and it has also been franked by wins from the third and fourth on their next starts, while the fifth and sixth also made the frame next time. Stronger race here but has claims.
Goes best at Southwell, where three of his five wins have come, while his only turf handicap success was around Chester two years ago from 5lb higher. Recent efforts not inspirational and probably best watched today.
Sole win was on debut at Pontefract as a juvenile and made the frame in Listed company later that season. Began last year on a mark of 96 and just has not been able to go on from that two-year-old form. Yard had a 1m winner already this week with one that had more of a sprint profile, but this takes a bigger leap of faith on recent evidence.
Has three maiden runs for Richard Fahey last year and has changed hands twice since without a further run. Makes his handicap debut here from a mark that is no gimme, so perhaps best watched this time.

Forecasts
La Celebs Ville (15/8), My Lucille (9/2), Ejayteekay (9/2), Ya Jammeel (6/1), Hidden Oasis (7/1), Captain Revelation (9/1), Short Work (9/1), Chosen Character (16/1), Still On Top (18/1), Ingleby Angel (25/1)
The win for La Celebs Ville over C&D last time has worked out very well and she may now be able to show improvement herself after a lengthy wait for success. However, consistency has not yet been her strong suit and she may be worth taking on with HIDDEN OASIS, who has trip and ground to suit and should be spot on after a recent pipe-opener. Short Work could be another improver now stepped up to this trip, while My Lucille is another who can get competitive.

- La Celebs Ville
