On an upward trajectory now gelded, and ran his best race for this trainer when a fast closing runner up to Henley at Newcastle (5F) last week. A strong sort (ex William Haggas) and looks a major contender.
Veteran, but has returned to the track in good order in 2017, with his April Pontefract third well advertised by the runner up Henley. Always to the fore throughout when short-headed by Bronze Beau at Hamilton last week (pair clear), so another competitive showing can be expected despite a slight rise in the weights.
Didn't manage to get his head in front in seven starts for Mark Johnston and Ed Dunlop, but was placed a number of times as a juvenile in 2015. Moved on for a paltry 7,000 gns in May (170,000 gns yearling) and should be okay with time for his new trainer.
Won from a 2lb higher mark at Haydock in August 2016 (5F good to firm), but has generally struggled off marks in the 70's since. Slowly slipping back to a workable mark, and a shade better in a fillies handicap at Thirsk latest, but others come into this race in slightly better form.
Lightly raced maiden, but has returned in fair shape with a couple of recent placed (albeit held) efforts at Pontefract and Ripon (both 6F). Dropped in trip for handicap debut (rated 72), but with an interesting jockey booked.
Runner up from this mark to Spirit of Wedza over 6F here in June 2016 and hasn't seen a great deal of racing since. Clearly needed his return at Thirsk in May, but took a big step forward at Catterick (6F) last week when chasing home the gallant Sir Geoffrey. Holds a chance, but the drop in trip is not ideal.
Not a regular winner, but 5F with cut seems to suit her well. Back on turf for the first time in a while when a fair fourth to Jacob's Pillow at Beverley last week, and that run brings her into contention with conditions to suit.

Manshood (13/8), Jack Luey (3/1), Cruise Tothelimit (5/1), Wild Acclaim (13/2), Exotic Guest (8/1), Rose Eclair (8/1), Muatadel (11/1), David's Beauty (20/1)
MANSHOOD was regularly too colty to do himself justice when trained by William Haggas, but he most definitely has more ability than he's shown so far. He looked really well pre-race at Newcastle last week and was noted making eye-catching late headway going down by a fast diminishing half length to Henley. A reproduction of that performance makes him the horse to beat despite shouldering top-weight of 10 stone.
