Maiden form has been fair, though most recently effort at Roscommon (1m2f, good) was rather timid and would temper any enthusiasm for this handicap bow somewhat. Market check needed.
Has been coming along nicely in maidens and duly off the mark over 1m (good to firm) at this track 13 days ago, has scope to build on that effort and represents top yard.
Finished a 5½L third at Roscommon last time on first attempt beyond a mile (1m2f, good). Has won on AW over 1m, remains open to doing better on turf.
Both turf runs this year have been average, goes back up in distance this time but definite question marks lingering for now.
Will have to take a fair step forward on the form of four maiden runs so far this term if hoping to land a blow on handicap debut, represents top trainer and jockey combination however so isn't to be dismissed completely.
Form went up a notch with last time out success at Navan (1m2f, good), staying on powerfully to score. Handicapper hasn't missed him for that effort but further progress could be forthcoming.
Went close over C&D in April on return from a break and duly scored next time at Limerick over slightly longer trip from a 6lb higher mark. Goes up another 4lb now but could remain progressive on just sixth start.
Just moderate promise in three maidens last year for Dermot Weld, though ran well enough on handicap bow at Cork last month over 1m to suggest he could take a hand in this.
Well beaten on all six starts but still early days. Her best effort came on softer ground than what she'll get here though and was well easily held from a 2lb higher mark over C&D 13 days ago.
Best effort came over 1m3f (good) at Limerick on handicap bow last time out when beaten less than 2L into second spot. Since left Edward Lynam and should be competitive in this field.

Forecasts
Hyperdrive (11/4), Auckland (7/2), Veneer Of Charm (4/1), Simafar (7/1), Noble Intention (7/1), Freedom Chimes (9/1), Time Dee (10/1), Thomas O'Malley (10/1), Wild Shot (14/1), Slaney Street (16/1), Buffalo Blues (16/1), Reimagine (20/1), Cristal Icon (33/1)
HYPERDRIVE remains a lightly-raced gelding and has been going the right way for the Harrington team of late. He was off the mark last time out at Limerick and despite a 4lb hike for his trouble , could be more than capable of remaining on an upward curve in what looks a decent heat. Auckland was also off the mark last time out and is respected for the Ballydoyle team while Freedom Chimes is one to monitor in the betting on first start for new connections having shown his nest form on handicap bow latest. Veneer Of Charm must deal with a severe hike for his career-best win at Navan recently while the frustrating Thomas O'malley shouldn't be overlooked completely though he is a tough one to trust.
- Hyperdrive
- Auckland
- Thomas O'malley
