Cost €80,000 and has shown up well in two maidens. Third to a useful pair at Thirsk last time and stable are 14-61 around here.

Runs to a consistent level but two good runs in handicaps have seen his mark shoot up by 8lb. If his trainer was looking for a low grade maiden in order to break his duck then he will be disappointed.

Full-brother to Albernathy who has missed the break on both starts. Not knocked about on debut and had a lot to do last time. Stable fit cheekpieces and employ rider who is 15-49 for them.

Cost 120,000 gns as a yearling and related to winners at a range of distances. Showed marked improvement last time and looks the one to beat with more progress likely. Trainer, 7-16 here, has booked a rider with a 16-41 record for him.

40,000 gns unraced son of Born To Sea and related to several winners including Iron Range, Island Sunset and Alice's Dancer. In form trainer 4-10 around here so one to note in the market.

Forecasts

Stararchitecture (7/4), Pilgrim's Treasure (9/4), Born To Boom (3/1), Jamacho (6/1), Torcello (11/1), Parasail (16/1), Young Sunshine (16/1)

Verdict

Jamacho sets the standard with a BHA rating of 76 but that may overestimate his latest effort and Born To Boom probably ran above that level at Thirsk last time. Karl Burke's charge had two potentially useful horses in front of him then, but it could be a similar story here. Pilgrim's Treasure and STARARCHITECTURE represent top Newmarket yards who are to be noted when aiming horses at maidens on the smaller Northern circuits. The former looks capable of better but STARARCHITECTURE has a similar profile and has probably achieved more thus far.
  1. Stararchitecture
  2. Pilgrim's Treasure
  3. Born To Boom
