Stable's horses have been going well. Nevertheless, yet to beat a rival home on the Flat including a claimer. Looks out of his depth.
Off the track more than a year having not shown a great deal in two starts. Having first run for trainer who had his first winner twelve days ago.
Invincible Spirit colt and full brother to Listed winner Ektihaam. Dam was also a half-sister to a Group winner so plenty to like on pedigree. Has clearly been difficult to train. Weak in the market on debut and ran accordingly.
Well beaten when finishing in mid-division on Cork debut in October. Needs to step up significantly but yard are 2-8 in last fortnight.
€88,000 foal and sold for 58,000 gns as a yearling. Related to a number of winners who were effective from 6f-1m. Yard 8-47 at the track with three-year-olds (with a further 21 placed) for a 31 points level stakes profit in last five years.
Bought for €30,000. Half-brother to useful performers Sholaan and Jazz Princess. Hails from a small yard with little history of getting horses ready to score first time out.
Vocalised gelding, half-brother to middle distance winner Spring Focus. Dam also a middle distance winner from a family of Grade 1 winners. Only beat one home on Curragh debut and stable jockey opts for Gloves On.
Gelded son of Elzaam who cost €18,000. Half-sister to Laverre who won five races from 1m1f-1m5f. Yard 0-22 with their three -year-olds on turf this term.
Has shown little on two appearances in maidens so far, both at Dundalk. Could improve for the switch to turf and going back up to a mile but yard's three-year-olds are yet to fire.
Godolphin owned newcomer by Teofilo out of a dam who has produced four winners for this stable. Not highly tried on debut.
Approve gelding is related to several winners up to and including 1m. Soon ridden and beaten on debut and would need to improve significantly.
Paddy O'prado gelding cost $25,000 as a yearling. Well beaten on Dundalk debut and looks the type who may need more time.
Unraced son of Sea The Stars and a half-brother to a couple of winners for these connections. Dam a useful performer over 7f to 1m. Would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to land this.
Unraced gelded son of Bushranger purchased for €3,000 as a foal in 2014. Full-brother to winning sprinter Bush Pilot amongst others and probably best watched on debut.
170,000 guineas Dutch Art filly whose dam is a full sister to Group 1 winner Chorist. Always behind on debut but bred to be capable of better. Yard have made a quiet start to the season.
Forecasts
Cannonball (1/1), Shabdiz (11/4), Onlyhuman (8/1), Gloves On (10/1), Zihaam (14/1), Fioruisce (16/1), Beautiful Ben (25/1), Fjord (25/1), Zircon (33/1), Bob Moore (40/1), Machine Head (66/1), Social Bandit (66/1), Dragon Phoenix (66/1), I've Got Rhythm (100/1), For Three (100/1)
This is a poor maiden with none of those to have raced previously having shown a great deal. Three big yards introduce newcomers. Shabdiz looked the yard's second string when withdrawn before his intended debut at Tipperary two weeks ago. His stable companion that day finished a well beaten third so he may be arriving here in need of the run. Gloves On is related to several winners for the yard and, representing powerful connections, he is one to note in the market. CANNONBALL represents a yard who have made a good start with their three-year-olds and who do well here with this age group. In a race with few clues, Ger Lyons' charge makes most appeal.
- Cannonball
- Gloves On
- Shabdiz
