Positive run last time at Downpatrick (2m3f, good) when chasing home easy winner on just second start over fences. Worthy contender for this prize.
Hasn't really shown enough in four chase starts to merit confidence off current rating, unseated rider early on at Downpatrick last time. There may be more to come in this sphere but would prefer to see encouragement.
A former point-to-point winner, he's yet to make any serious fist of things under rules including in six previous start over fences. Pulled up last month at Limerick over 2m3½f on good ground.
Won on last month's reappearance at Killarney (2m4f, good, good to yielding) and has to be taken seriously again on the back of that improved performance despite having 5lb more to contend with now.
A veteran now but has four wins and a string of placed efforts under rules. Winner of two point-to-points last month, hasn't won for a while under rules but not discounted.
Poor record under rules thus far, beaten 24L in similar Killarney event last month and hard to build much of a case for at the moment.
Two better efforts this spring have seen him knocking on the door and may well have won in another couple of strides at Downpatrick last month (2m6f, good, good to firm). Has to enter calculations assuming ground remains decent.
Moderate fourth of 14 last month at Kilbeggan over this sort of trip, is dropped 1lb for this but overall profile suggests she's going to struggle once more.
Easily beaten off at Downpatrick last month over a longer trip, nothing in the formbook to suggest the mare will break her duck in this
Mare ought to be struggling in this field based on recent efforts in Hunter Chases and overall profile under rules.
Was 41L behind Dark Outsider at Killarney last month, hard to envisage any reasoning why that form will be reversed.
Career-best to win last time out at Downpatrick (2m6f, good, good to firm) just holding off Willow Grange at the line. Raised 7lbs on that effort, drops in trip and interesting to see if market support of last time is repeated now.
Has failed to get beyond the second obstacles in two of three runs over fences - both at Downpatrick. Would be hard to offer much encouragement on the back of those efforts.
Point-to-point winner at Boris House in December though has not posed any kind of threat in pair of chase runs under rules since. Beat 81L at Downpatrick a fortnight ago over a longer trip than this.
Isn't get any younger and last month's Downpatrick effort (2m6f, good) would suggest that place money is the absolute height of expectations here unless able to step up significantly on those efforts.
Unplaced in 14 starts over fence and has failed to complete in six of them, completely tailed off on return to action at Wexford recently (3m1f, good) and hard to build any solid case in this.

DARK OUTSIDER showed improved form to make a winning return last month at Killarney and should command plenty respect in the follow-up attempt now. Kilderry Prince produced a career-best to score at Downpatrick and should go well once more despite a penalty, though the runner-up Willow Grange may be able to turn that form around here. Native Lass, on just third start over fences, could show improved for on the back of a good second at Downpatrick last time.
- Dark Outsider
- Willow Grange
- Native Lass
