Winner of this race last year off a 4lb lower mark she was reward for her consistency when winning at Windsor in October off a mark of 77. Hasn't quite fired this year (had one difficult test) and didn't settle that well last time out but goes well around here and this looks a little easier than her last start.
Has a couple of wins to her name so far this year both on the AW over 7f and it looks as though the good form she has shown on the AW has carried back to the turf. Ran a little keenly last time out on soft ground at York and didn't get the run of the race against one who did and worth looking at here.
Goodwood winner last year over 7f off a mark of 71 when she got the run of the race and the rise for that win in advantageous circumstances has proved beyond her. Ran a sound enough race last time but may find one or two too good in this.
Now back to the same mark that she won off last year at Musselburgh off what was a falling mark over 7f. A return to that mark gives her a chance here and the blinkers are back on here.
Has worked her way down to below her last winning mark and shaped quite well on her penultimate outing at Carlisle looking better than the bare result. Had her usual headgear (cheekpieces) left off last time when running poorly at Chester over 6f and while this trip will suit others are in better form.
Took a step back in the right direction last time out at Yarmouth over a mile off this same mark but was no match for an easy winner and this doesn't look any easier.
Her win over C&D came when she was one of the least exposed in the field and was improved form. Two further wins have followed both in the AW at Newcastle off similar marks and she should come on for the run at Wetherby last time although she will need a career best to win this of a mark of 64.
Irish nursery winner last year at Sligo and Limerick both times in heavy conditions over 7f and a mile. Now with a new stable after being sold from the Kevin Prendergast yard for €20,000 in November and might find the going a bit quick here as the cheekpieces go on for the first time.
Forecasts
Invermere (11/4), Little Miss Kodi (3/1), Bint Arcano (7/2), Quick N Quirky (8/1), Totally Magic (17/2), Be Royale (10/1), Maureb (14/1), Duck Egg Blue (33/1)
There are a few inhere that have worked their way back down to marks that they can be competitive off and last year’s winner Invermere is expected to go close again. Little Miss Kodi is another who can run a solid enough race and is given the same chance as Totally Magic who might just need a little more to land this. BINT ARCANO didn’t really get the run of the race last time out at York when the winner very much got the run of the race and with the ground much more likely to suit this time around she could add to her two AW wins so far this year.
- Bint Arcano
- Invermere
- Totally Magic
