Interesting Flat debutante who won over hurdles last time out at Kelso off a mark of 102. Yard have plenty of success on the Flat for one of their size but may find one or two too strong here.
Has shown some fairly useful form in maidens and improved last time out when reappearing at Bath over 1m4f with the blinkers going on for the first time. Travels well and has a leading chance here.
Not an obvious type on debut with this Arabian Gleam gelding being out of an unraced mare and best watched here at what is likely to be a big price.
His maiden form stacks up well and he looked to have improved on that last timeout when taking the runner-up slot in a York handicap over 1m4f only being beaten by a big improver. Remains with potential and could be suited by even further.
Stepped up on his debut when brought back in distance to 1m1f at Ripon last time out when getting outpaced and will be suited by a return to this trip. Should be able to win a race like this but faces a couple of useful types here.
Stable are adept at preparing a newcomer but this daughter of Fastnet Rock faces a fairly stiff task on debut. The dam is closely related to a very smart winner in Acropolis and she should build on whatever she does here.
Forecasts
Beach Break (6/4), Lester Kris (13/8), Montanna (9/2), Flowers Will Bloom (10/1), Notnow Seamus (25/1), Karapiro Boy (100/1)
This might turn out to be better than the usual staying maidens that are run around here with both Beach Break and LESTER KRIS having shown decent form and it’s the handicap form of the latter that tips the scales in his favour. Both the debutantes are of interest although they come from very different backgrounds with Notnow Seamus looking one for Flat handicaps if they can get him a mark and Flowers Will Bloom is sure to improve and anything that she does here with Montanna far from totally ruled out.
- Lester Kris
- Beach Break
- Flowers Will Bloom
