Hat-trick seeker who has relished the step up to this trip and now shoulders a penalty following her most recent victory last week. Definitely improving and very possible she could defy that rise with this particular top jockey up for the first time.

Has run two solid races in handicaps so far and steps up to this trip for the first time today, and move which is sure to suit. Should be a big player as long as he handles the surface on his all-weather debut.

Not disgraced in a similar race to this over C&D last time out and could build on that following a big step up in trip, but would need to build on it in order to have a say here.

Beat La Vie En Rose two starts ago at Newcastle and receives further weight from her today, but that race was over shorter and the reopposing rival has looked a different horse since stepping up in trip. Disappointed when favourite last time and must do more now.

Well beaten on handicap debut at Windsor last time out and now steps up in trip. Didn't look like she was appealing for a step up in trip on that occasion but no reason she shouldn't stay it on pedigree, though she may be short of the quality required.

Won three starts ago at Southwell but has subsequently struggled with his 6lb higher mark, both on that specialist surface of Fibresand and on the Tapeta. Others are more appealing options in this race.

Ran well over shorter here last time and goes off the same mark here. Will need to take a step forward but that's not impossible given her profile, and she could be in the mix for a place.

Races from narrowly out of the handicap having shown little in any of her four career starts so far, and no surprise if that is the case again today.

Forecasts

La Vie En Rose (5/4), Oxford Blu (7/2), True Romance (11/2), Tor (11/2), Padleyourowncanoe (10/1), Every Nice Girl (28/1), All About The Pace (33/1), Just Heather (200/1)

Verdict

The key piece of form here is Oxford Blu's defeat of LA VIE EN ROSE at Newcastle in November. The first-named was clearly the better horse that day, but the selection has progressed well since, especially having been upped in trip, and though she must concede yet more weight this time she is taken to turn the form around, though Sir Mark Prescott's charge may well prove second best. True Romance has run well during his short handicapping career so far and is the other to consider.
  1. La Vie En Rose
  2. Oxford Blu
  3. True Romance
