Musselburgh maiden winner (7f, good) but finding life tougher in handicaps so far, finishing stone last over an extended 7f at Beverley in both recent runs. Mark is dropping but hard to build a case just yet despite addition of first-time blinkers.
Filly was beaten 4L on AW at Wolverhampton early this month over extended mile when seventh of 11. Lightly-raced but will require career best effort to score in this.
Twice banged on the door since coming back from a break, first on the AW at Southwell (1m) and then over 1m1f (good to firm) at Redcar when beaten only in a head-bobber. Up 5lb but claim ensures he's still very much in the mix.
Showed gradual improvement in three maiden or maiden auction runs last season, dropping from 7f to 5f in the process. This longer trip should help to elicit a fair bit of improvement from what is a workable handicap mark and a market check is suggested. Fitness no concern.
Left maiden form behind on handicap bow at Redcar (1m2f, good to firm) recently. Every chance of building on that before the assessor has his say.
Yet to win in eight starts (placed once), all of which have come over 5f. Significant step into the unknown here, with first-time cheekpieces applied. Market support would be interesting.
Unplaced in six starts to date, handicap mark is sliding and claimer further aids the cause. Struggled when upped to 1m1f on final start last year. More questions than answers for this return.
Offered something to work on at the first time of asking over 1m last autumn, but no impact down in trip on next two starts. Should do better at this distance, but improvement needed to figure.
Has been beaten out of sight in three maidens this spring already, all over 1m2f. Goes handicapping now and has it all to prove.

Forecasts
Tread Lightly (11/8), Cliff Bay (3/1), Hope Against Hope (4/1), Archi's Affaire (6/1), Royal Cosmic (10/1), Rosemay (10/1), Indian Vision (11/1), Geophony (14/1), Four Kingdoms (25/1), Redrosezorro (25/1), Silk Trader (66/1)
CLIFF BAY has hit the crossbar in two starts this term already, going down in agonising fashion last time at Redcar. He's been raised 5lb for that but his claiming rider has got a tune from him before on the AW and they might be able to land the finale together here. Tread Lightly made a fine start in handicaps when second at Redcar recently and needs respecting turned out here before going up in the rating while Hope Against Hope, winner at Yarmouth on final start last year, ought to be capable of winning races this term and represents a strong trainer/jockey combo for this return to action.
- Cliff Bay
- Tread Lightly
