Justified favouritism at Huntingdon last week and well in under a penalty. Slight step up in trip won't inconvenience him and likely to keep improving now, appears to be the one to beat.
Had lost his way for his previous yard and struggling in three starts under rules back with these connections. Has failed to complete in three point-to-point efforts since then and seemingly lost his way. Fair bit to prove now.
Still a maiden after eight outings but not beaten far on either of his last two starts, hinting that his turn may be near. Needs to build on that again, particularly if he's to be considered for win purposes but no surprise to see him in the places against these rivals.
One win in 13 starts and been crying out for a drop back in trip. With the yard in flying form she should be thereabouts off a lenient enough looking mark.
Back-to-back winner in April, first of those efforts coming over C&D but just struggling a little off his revised mark. May not quite be finished on his upward curve but a little vulnerable for win purposes.
Beat 2¾L over 2m at Chepstow earlier in the month on the Flat and would appear to be on a fair mark back in this sphere. Never won over this kind of trip but finished a good third at Wincanton in October over a similar trip and he could go well off bottom weight.
Forecasts
Pongo Twistleton (7/4), Tony Star (4/1), Prince Mahler (5/1), Samdibien (5/1), Deebaj (11/2), Western Sunrise (10/1), Taste The Wine (14/1)
PONGO TWISTLETON is due to go up 4lb for his most recent win and he could be hard to beat in a follow up bid. Samdibien would appear to be improving while Taste The Wine has a featherweight to carry when taking into account his jockey's 7lb claim and he could run into a place.
