Won at unusually long odds (25/1) for a Sir Michael Stoute-trained horse last time out; showing marked improvement from her first two starts. The form has been boosted since but a mark of 80 looks harsh for what she has actually achieved. Worth noting her yard is in better form just now and she has to be respected as the one that sets the standard.

A consistent sort that has held her own at this sort of level. Two outings this season will have put her spot on for this. Sound claims if she takes the step up in trip in her stride.

Just run out of things near the finish in her latest start, but posted an encouraging enough effort to suggest she can pay her way this season. Albeit at a modest level. At least a couple of the others look more progressive and she may have to settle for a minor role today.

Steadily getting the hang of things and looks ready for this step up in trip. Yard always to be respected with its fillies; support in the betting would be dangerous to ignore. Does need to prove her stamina for the trip though.

Form of her penultimate start (10F) reads respectably but she seemed to revert to type last time and remains one to have reservations about for the time being. She also lack s the scope held by some of the others and makes limited appeal here.

Forecasts

Carducci (15/8), Vice Versa (2/1), Eula Varner (9/2), Seduce Me (6/1), Patching (16/1)

Verdict

The appears to be decent opportunity for VICE VERSA now that she has got her act together. The daughter of Oasis Dream was a surprise winner on the AW last time out but went about the task in a likeable manner. She may have more to come but won't need to be anything special to cope with a mark of 80 in this company. Seduce Me is more exposed but is a consistent individual. Karl Burke's filly is one to bear in mind if the market falters around the selection. Eula Varner has a bit to prove in stepping up in trip but is also an interesting candidate from a shrewd operation.
  1. Vice Versa
  2. Seduce Me
  3. Eula Varner
