Won a weak maiden on the AW last November but was well held in better company on his handicap debut earlier this month. Eye-catching jockey booking but faces another stiff test on these terms.
Made the most of a couple of easy openings to land a quick brace on the AW during the winter; but hit the wall for speed when turned over at a short price when last seen out. Has a bit to prove back on turf but his yard remains in cracking form, so has to be respected. Worth bearing in mind if the odds are more sensible this time around.
Acts well at this track and has claims now he is getting some assistance from the handicapper. This is easier than some of his previous assignments, so interesting if supported. (Yard won this race in 2015.)
On a long losing run under both codes but still racing with enthusiasm over Jumps, so can be expected to give his all. Quite whether he is effectively well handicapped is another matter though. Others look to hold more obvious claims.
Very consistent on the Flat but is very lightly raced in recent time - almost four years since his C&D win; and has been off since August 2015, so a lot has to be taken on trust. Worth a look in the betting nevertheless.
Versatile regarding the trip but has only a solitary win (over 6f at the course) to his name. Last couple of outings have been encouraging and, given that he has a valuable fitness edge over a few of the rest, he makes it to the shortlist.
Loves this track - won here six times, including a C&D win - and should be sharper for his recent return to the action, as he usually needs at least one run to blow out the tubes. The return to Salisbury is likely to bring the best out of him and he would be dangerous to underestimate.
Interesting contender from a top jumps yard. Has to be respected on the pick of his form on the Flat but wouldn't be one to go overboard with at cramped odds, as the ground may be faster than ideal for him.

Forecasts
High Command (11/4), Mark Hopkins (7/2), Volpone Jelois (4/1), Going Up (5/1), Plymouth Sound (6/1), Sunny Future (10/1), Bostonian (10/1), Stock Hill Fair (20/1), Harry Hunt (25/1)
There are nagging doubts lingering about most of these and the likes of Bostonian, Harry Hunt and Mark Hopkins all arrive here with a little to prove. All of which aids the cause for PLYMOUTH SOUND, who has dropped a couple of hints that his turns is near and appears to have a lot in his favour this evening. Course specialist Sunny Future has a bit to find with the selection but can be expected to be sharper now he has a recent run under his belt. Volpone Jelois will also pose a few problems if he handles the anticipated firm ground.
