Scored on debut last year at Beverley and had been competitive in handicaps before adding a second win back at the East Yorkshire track (7½f, good to firm) from a mark of 77 last month. Couldn't quite manage the follow-up over slightly shorter last time out from 1lb higher than today, so now goes up slightly in trip, which looks positive. Very competitive.
Off the mark on his fourth start at Chelmsford (7f maiden) in October but well held from a mark of 80 on his seasonal return/handicap debut at Lingfield over the same trip last month. Dam won over this sort of trip, while sire loved it here (won the Group One Haydock Sprint Cup) and on fast ground. Dropped 1lb and can go well.
Persistence paid off last season when, after two narrow defeats, he came good at the ninth time of asking in a Catterick nursery (7f, good to soft) in October. Gelded prior to his two runs this season (both 1m on good to firm) and has run well enough. 1lb drop will help and no surprise to see him in the money.
Runner-up three times as a juvenile and got off the mark at the fifth time of asking on his first start of this year when taking a 7f maiden at Newcastle in March. First handicap run at Chelmsford was promising when a 3¼L fourth, but we can put a line through his latest effort at Yarmouth when he lost his chance at the start. Dropped 1lb and a likely player.
Scored on debut at Lingfield in January (1m) when with John Gosden before reappearing for this yard a month later and finishing last of four (beaten almost 9L) over a similar trip on his handicap debut. Raced keenly there and will need to settle better this time. Wide draw to contend with but cannot be ruled out.
Won on his handicap debut at Leicester (7f, good) in August and was very competitive in defeat on his next two outings from marks of 72 and 73. A 5lb rise before returning this season has kept him at bay since being stepped up to this grade and although eased 1lb now, he looks likely to need improvement to win this.
Went close on debut at Kempton in February (1m) before winning his maiden over that trip at Newcastle when back out 16 days later. Form of that yet to show much sparkle, so will probably need to improve to win on his handicap debut from a mark of 77. Dam won on fast ground over 1m2f, so optimism that he will handle conditions on first turf run.
Narrowly held in two of his six starts last year and again in two of his first four outings this year, before finally getting his nose in front over C&D (good to firm) last month. Raised 3lb for that and now in a better contest, some improvement is needed, though with the fourth that day having being narrowly beaten next time that is a possibility.
Scored at Wolverhampton (7f maiden) in January on his second start and finished 1L behind the reopposing Sidewinder over C&D (good to firm) last month. Now 3lb better off with that opponent and with useful 5lb claimed off his back for this slightly better race, he has claims.
Failed to progress in three maidens so far, the most recent being at 16½L defeat at Nottingham (1m½f, good) on his return to action last month. Should be capable of better now handicapping, but this is no gimme from a mark of 72, despite the good draw and a market check is suggested to gauge any confidence.

An open-looking betting heat here where several have claims. Proud Archi is among them now running over slightly further, while Thaaqib is also likely to have plenty of supporters. Ray's The Money should do much better if he can get off to a decent start, while there shouldn't be much between Sidewinder and Fear The Fury back over C&D. Alfred Richardson may have the necessary improvement in him now upped in grade and Arsenio Lupin also looks short-list material. However, Andrew Balding has his team in good order and both a class drop and step up to a mile could see INTIMATE ART go very close at a price.
