Made a good return to action over a similar trip at Nottingham (good) earlier in the month when leading 2f out and eventually finishing a 2L third. Can take a fair bit of encouragement from that and couldn't rule her out from seeing it out right to the line this time.
€16,000 foal. Half-sister to five winners inc. Crosspiece (6f-1m4f Listed), So Sweet (7f at two), Tatbeeq (1m) and Desert Eagle (1m, inc. AW at two). Dam unplaced over 7f-1m4f. Stable has had a few winners in May, though 2-41 with 3yo turf runners so far this campaign.
As with many from her yard, she improved for her debut outing when stepped up to 1m½f at Hamilton (good to firm) last time and was beaten just 1¼L into second there when she tried to make all. Expect more of the same and anything that finishes in front of her will go close to winning.
By a five-time Group One winner over 7f-1m4f and the first foal of her 1m Listed-winning dam. Grandam a 1m-1m2f winning half-sister to Champion Stakes winner Legal Case and Group-placed 1m2f winner La Sky (dam of Oaks winner Love Divine and grandam of St Leger winner Sixties Icon). Super pedigree and from yard in form. Very interesting newcomer.
First foal of a 1m½f-1m3f German Group Three winning half-sister to Italian Listed-placed 7f/1m winner Lowawatha, out of French 6f-1m1f 2yo winning half-sister to high-class stayer Boreas. Stable's 3yos going well enough and a market check is suggested.
Improved for her first run at Newmarket in the autumn when reappearing at headquarters at the Craven Meeting and stepping up from 7f to 1m (good to firm). Half-sister to a winner over this trip and dam won over 7f, while sire won both King George and Eclipse. May do better over further/when handicapping.
Beaten on debut at Newmarket last summer but four of the five in front of her have won since and she returned nicely at Nottingham earlier in the month when runner-up (1m½f, good), collared close to home and beaten just a neck at 16/1. A repeat or better is likely to make her tough to beat.
Beaten 20L on her debut over 7f at Newmarket (good to firm) in September. Out of a US turf 1m-1m2f Grade One (Breeders Cup Filly and Mare Turf) winner and related to other winners from 1m-1m4f. Should improve for this step up in trip and another winter under her belt and it would be no surprise to see her go close this time.
Forecasts
Sasini (7/4), Alouja (9/4), Polly Glide (11/2), Labhay (15/2), Smart Together (8/1), Hamster Jam (22/1), Best Of My Love (25/1), Master Me (40/1)
Alouja should be capable of finishing closer today, while Hamster Jam should also prove a tough nut to crack. Labhay is a very interesting newcomer and has a superb pedigree, so a big run for both her and the returning Smart Together would be no surprise. However, SASINI only just succumbed at Nottingham on her return and from the inside draw she can break her duck today at the third time of asking.
