Outclassed but not disgraced in the 2,000 Guineas and no doubt this is easier. Still progressing and can give another good account here with this trainer/jockey combination able to boast an 18.24% strike-rate when teaming up but the yard form has to be a slight concern.

Progressed well through the ranks last year but not in the same form at the end of his campaign. Struggled in a Group 3 at Newmarket at the end of the season but had his excuses (keen early and stumbled entering the final stages) before flopping at the Breeders' Cup. He can be forgiven those efforts after a long season though and he looked back to his old self at Newmarket last time. Could come on for that and every chance of going one better with Dettori in the saddle.

Looked like a hot prospect, winning his first two starts at Newbury last year in convincing style, but struggled when he was a short-priced favourite for a Group 3 in September at Newmarket. May need this run having not been seen since.

Bit of a hit and miss character and looks a little more exposed than most in this field. Struggled at Ascot last time and while there's probably more to come at some stage, he looks a little unreliable at present and perhaps best watched for now.

Won his York maiden in taking fashion and ran with great credit in a Newmarket Group 3 at the end of the season. Form of that race looks rock solid and he's sure to come on for his recent effort at Newbury when he appeared in need of the run. Better expected now and the one to beat in this line-up.

Winner of a novice auction event at Hamilton before picking up a minor Listed race at Chantilly. Followed that up with a couple of fair efforts in Group 3 company but she has shown nothing after that, in Group 1 company at the end of last year, and a Listed contest at Lingfield last month. Something to prove now but booking of De Sousa is a positive.

Forecasts

Zainhom (5/6), Khafoo Shememi (5/1), Escobar (11/2), Law And Order (8/1), Rodaini (8/1), Baileys Showgirl (33/1)

Verdict

ZAINHOM proved no match for Barney Roy and Dream Castle at Newbury last time but he looked like he would come on for that run and those rivals have franked the form with fair efforts in the Guineas since. Rodaini looked back to something like his best at Newmarket on his reapearance while Law And Order will find this easier than the Classic last time.
  1. Zainhom
  2. Rodaini
  3. Law And Order
